This was basically something many companies did back in the time. Developers loved the CD-ROM technology more capacity and stereo clear audio playback bypassing the internal sound chip I'm really puzzled why the trend faded away maybe budget constrains.

Mesmo com loading, a do Saturn tem modo training e há 2 opções de trilha sonora: original e remixada. Acho uma vergonha um port (se é que não tem um MAME da vida lá dentro) sair 22 anos depois sem qualquer atenção ao zelo tido nos ports anteriores. Trabalho de girico.

Outra cagada é essa coletânea nova com Darkstalkers e Hyper Street, pois o Hyper Street não passa da versão emulada do arcade sem tirar nem por, lembrando que este teve uma versão para o PS2 e era uma conversão melhorada com as músicas remixadas do 3do.

@DrTech XX Os jogos da SNK e de luta da capcom no playstation não eram tão bons, ele era um console muito bom pra jogos em 3D, mas em 2D tinha muitos cortes nos quadros de animação e em alguns jogos isso afetava a jogabilidade. O Saturn tinha as melhores conversões

Semi-transparent shadows on Switch, so it's not straight emulation of the arcade rom. Also the screen darkening effect when Ryu does special hadoken is different between Saturn and Switch.

It is running the arcade rom, this has been confirmed by the developer themselves. They talked of having to hack certain things out of the roms, like logos Capcom no longer has the rights to, fixing bugs, etc. But it IS the arcade rom running.

With earphones on I got to say the music in the Saturn version sounded better. The percussion and bass sounded much cleaner. The Switch version had this scratchiness in quality. Noticeable in ending theme which sounded pretty awful. Again with changing the fonts and text 18:22.

Switch takes it but just barely! we can assume they increased the resolution a bit for the more modern console, but the Saturn had such unused potential, most developers didn't know how to create games using all of it's processing power, and it could have easily destroyed the PSx.

A versão do Sega Saturn tem melhores musicas e a proporção de tela esta correta! De resto é praticamente a mesma coisa, o Switch ganhou um port sem capricho só isso.

Na verdade, em todos os ports pra Saturn os personagens ficam um pouco mais largos do que deveria em relação ao Arcade (nos monitores padrão fullscreen 4:3). E devido à resolução "quadrada" do Saturn, ainda come um pouco a beirada da tela. Nos cantos dos cenarios vc consegue sair bem mais pra fora da tela no Saturn por conta disso, tem uma parte q ele acaba nao exibindo.

Almost the same. The color on switch is a little more pronounced or a bit darker making it a little better but man the SEGA Saturn is Arcade perfect for a home game console port in the mid-90's. Sound is also the same nothing here is much better. Character design, back ground, graphical effects everything is the same.

Just to clarify the Saturn has less horizontal pixels than the arcade. This is why the Saturn looks fatter as capcom just mapped the arcade pixels 1:1 and chopped the edges of the screen off. They did this on all CPS games.

Slim. Ryu looks a bit fatter on Saturn because the resolution was smaller on Saturn. SF Alpha on Saturn runs at 252 x 224 pixels while the arcade was 284 x 224 pixels. Almost every Capcom game on Sega Saturn suffers from that, even the 4MB games. Speaking of the 4MB games, X-Men vs. Street Fighter and Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter (and likely more games too) had the in-game HUD slightly altered to move the portraits lower to fit. Despite that, the Capcom games still look great and the 4MB games are mostly arcade perfect
