Hello to everyone who bought SF2 on the SNES when it first came out as a kid and had the time of their lives. The game was the hottest thing at that point, and everyone in the playground was talking about it. It cost a fortune but saving up pocket money/birthday money for it meant we could get it. What a time to be alive :)

This theme is incredibly nostalgic, but also saddening. To me personally, it serves as a final goodbye to my childhood. A remembrance to what used to be. The young, naive, optimistic, blissful ignorance to life. Living a fantastically fantasy lifestyle of imagination and wonder. All that mattered was being in the moment, simultaneously while also reaching the next stage. I'd like to believe the child still lives in us somewhat. It was just kept on the sidelines. Allowing for our adult side to take over from then onwards. But whenever we pick up a controller to play our favorite retro game, we can finally allow that side of us to be free again. (With an adult twist). So maybe it never was farewell. But more so a, 'see you later...' Yeah. ❤️

I'm a realist. The child is gone, dead if we must. You'll never see that kid walking the streets, you'll never see him do any of the things he did. He's replaced by the adult version of us. I bought a street fighter yoga flame edition arcade1up as a tribute to my fallen childhood 🤣 whenever I play it, it's more like remembering a dead loved one

I swear to god, the first time I got to these credits on SNES at 10 years old, the exact thing you described was what I saw. I thought it was so awesome and perfect, it must be how the animation always plays out. But then I got to the screen again a few times and was disappointed to see that that wasn’t the case. If someone was able to capture that exact same scenario though, maybe the fight isn’t completely random and they just programmed in a few different scenarios?

This was a special time. For me it was that special spark that we all shared. The feelings of innocent blissful naivety, the strong passionate heart, the hope we had that we could make the world a better place simply through hard work, great ideas and a pure heart, giving aid to any who needed it. The times when each setback no matter how severe it was, was healed by breathing fresh air and seeing the blue skies. Back when we still dared to dream of bringing peace and happiness to the world. There was nothing we novices couldn't overcome if we did not give up, in the future we would have our chance to change the world. The radiance of lives born from the stars, the happiness shared by brethren, the flames of conflict that arose from ambitious hearts grown too cold. There is no difference in the weight of daily lives; the new life would become accepted. Our hearts would open the door to the world and we would go on living, together with one another!

I really love the PC Engine version of SF2. Not for preference, but the capabilities it had! It's technically an 8-bit system, and having SF2 on it just shows much power it had. The Hu-Card it came with had to be a bit thicker to fit this game in! Yes, the music isn't the best, but it's not the worst. The voice samples out shine the SNES and Genesis, and... what else can I say? It's just a shame it was never given a U.S release. (Also, those who say it's a 16-bit system, well, yes and no.)
@NintendoComplete6 жыл бұрын
Brandon Hollingsworth I agree. It's my favorite port of the game from the early 90s. The Turbo was a good example of how bit counts really didn't mean much. I mean, 8-bit or not, its processor was blazing fast compared to the old lady speed of the SNES's CPU.

I used to get this creator ending in the arcades by getting all perfects if i remember correctly. It was easy to do if you got a hold of the arcade version called Street Fighter 2 Championship Edition, Turbo Hyper 2. It let you cast unlimited fireballs non-stop, and you could jump, throw a fireball, jump do it again, and continue climbing the screen out of picture and reappear again but cant be touched. We did this so so many times.

I believe this music, is the basis of my favorite music taste... I like the DJ's SmK, DJ Ness and DJ Harmonics, as my favorite kinda style. It's more advanced then the SFII End Credits, (as sound-tech advances too) but i dare to believe somehow, the basics are the same. I'm not a DJ, so don't know for sure. It was my concious choice in my early 20's not to become an Electronic Music Maker, but a Writer. However, in their songs, i recognise these artists's sense of extremely polished narrative, in an instant. It reminds me about the way i build narratives trough text in a written piece, or story. I believe, if i developed myself to become a DJ, it would exactly be like SmK, and i think, if these DJ's made the choice to develop their writing-skills, they would use the same narrative build-up trough text, as me. I believe, we are the same artists, developed differently, and that's why it resonates. If true, then this melodic badass-tune, was the foundation, for both type of artists... Advanced DJ's using the basis of this tune to evolve, advanced writer using the basis of this tune, (narrative) in it's written pieces. If i recognize the same artist in their music, would they recognise the same artist in it's writings? Well, they will if they read a true story... Got to have a special place for Capcom in my heart because of this. Always will. It's such a defined developer in it's field, (the best) that what Capcom creates, is a consistent form of digital, unique art. ✌️
