She's the first playable female fighting game character. I'm pretty sure Lang and Fan from Yie Air Kung Fu were the first distinctly female fighting game characters. Chun Li is also not original in design. Her earliest designs are actually similar to Angela Mao Ying. Pictured in this video, she is wearing Fan's dress and has Lang's hair. Homage or Capcom?

Believe it or not, this is the character that I played most (well, not the reason). Never mind that she was freakin hot. But because of her quickness and ability to get you from nearly anywhere on the screen, being able to bounce off the walls and hit you hard before you even know what happened. Her kicks also hit like an absolute truck, too. Can't kill what you can't catch.

For me, her beauty was just a plus point that made me like her more, but the original 2 reasons I main her for are-- 1: She fits my playstyle. Kicks, fast but not frail, great jump attacks, SHE CAN DESTROY VEGA WHETHER IT BE GAMES OR ANY OTHER MEDIA, great combos, good specials too, also lightning kicks work great. 2: I like her as a character too! A strong, determined Interpol officer, she is not fueled by revenge, but justice. She does want some payback for her father`s death but she`s not obsessed about revenge, doing the right thing is more important for her. She does sometimes have her emotions get the best of her but is working on it. She is a reasonable, smart, courageous woman too. And let`s not forget that she has a kind, soft side too. She`s one of those few female VG characters I kinda have a crush on

I have nothing against Zero Suit Samus, since she is part of my top 3 favorite female characters (the one that occupies the first place, is Chun-Li), but I don't like the image they are giving ZSS(fanservice :( ).
