Ken is not named after the barbie character, Ken means fist japanese, so the makers used as it was a name that worked in both markets, the masters bit was added when street fighter toys came out to avoid copyright infringement

The two original directors that were going to direct the Capcom and Legendary Pictures " Street Fighter" film turned down the plan to direct it. A different project was scheduled for them to direct and they took it. So Capcom and Legendary Pictures are looking for a different film director to handle the upcoming "Street Fighter" movie by Capcom and Legendary Pictures.

@ChrisAndrewsHeavenAngel Lately most "Video game" movies are becoming better than they were. Sonic the Hedgehog, the new Mario Brothers, Fallout and some others. They are fixing up the past mistakes and using better animation too. I cannot say the same for the comic book superhero genre, which is now declining and has become horse manure. I am placing my bets on the video game film genre, and hope that Capcom does not disappoint me as they did already with that solo Chun-Li movie. I am a Capcom game fan and even love the most exotic and bizzare games that they made. I will be upset if they come up with some dumpster fire. 🔥

The second one that came out February 10, 2009 was the " Street Fighter Extreme Edition" on blu- ray DVD which I also, have. The one that came out in 2021. " Street Fighter Steel Box" set blu- ray DVD which, I bought and have from Best Buy is the best set yet that was released. I hope you have this version Terrygymiah. You can order a copy if they are still around from Target, Best Buy, Amazon or Walmart if they have copies of that newest " Street Fighter" steel box blu- ray DVD set.

Either Capcom won't allow their characters to be killed, or it's another Mortal Kombat v DCU failure with no fatalities. There's also the buttons and move changes, because the characters need to feel consistent, not just changing control schemes per character. Dead or Alive featuring Virtua Fighter characters worked because they literally have identical button mappings.
