I may prefer Mortal Kombat’s balance between Street Fighter’s crazy directional controls or Tekken’s flash-thumbs button combos, but I do quite admire Street Fighter’s world for it’s bright colors, simple and punchy stories, and as evidenced by laura more than anyone else (besides perhaps mika), it’s utter shamelessness.

+micah white (WhiteChocolateThunder) Yeah, Sean's previous incarnation in SF III was definitely darker. I think they made them like that so it could highlight their mixed heritage (their father is japanese) but that wouldn't explain why Birdie, Dhalsim, Rashid's complexions look lighter in the cutscenes. It's probably got something to do with the colder pastel color pattern of choice since all the clothes, acessories and character's hair are also lighter (Ken is basically Dante with a ponytail) but they could've fixed that.

As I've said bf we don't have this clear distinction of speech pattern based on people's ethnic background (it's more based on socioeconomic and regional procedence). And even so maybe it wouldn't make a difference. I mean, you said they both sound white but Laura's voice actress is also mixed.
