There's some thing about his well practiced confident cooking moves that translates wordlessly into YUM! Yum must be international. You only look like that if you cook all the time. That's what an expert looks like in action folks.

I agree that the comments in the video are disrespectful, but they at least appreciate the art and skill that goes into making street food quickly and efficiently. And I'd like to add, if you heat up any food or food like substance, (roadkill) to 185 degrees, it'll kill any bacteria or parasite, so the food should be safe to eat, whether it has dog, cat, or rat meat or not.

i dont understand why so many people hate americans. it proves how childish people are- to hate people because of stereotypes. im american. i love to eat healthy. i hate the garbage they call mcdonalds. i love all kinds of foods that come from different cultures. and im sure im not the only one who feels this way. to simply call us american "fuckers" makes me question their maturity. i just dont understand it. no one is perfect and certainly no country is perfect.

I work in an area with a lot of Mexicans and some people from South America due to the demand for labor in agriculture. If you want incredibly delicious Mexican food around here you go to the hole in the wall places or the places that run super busy taco trucks and eat until your heart is content for $5-$7 and box up the leftovers. We finally got a Chipotle in town, but the food is not good, and very expensive compared to eating at the local Mexican places.

It is not a big deal, guys. We say those things all the time. Things like "街上卖的的东西不干净,吃了会闹肚子疼的", "那个绿颜色的是啥玩意儿?",I hear this kind of things all the time in China. If it is Okey for us Chinese to say these in Chinese, why wouldn't be okey for some foreigners to say the same thing in another language. Besides, we Chinese should be mind how our words would hurt our fellow Chinese before we start picking on some random foreigner.

Actually getting sick from eating street food is pretty slim. They cook it at so darn high heat. I've been all over China and eaten loads of it even pig legs and law meat. Cleanliness is more in China then most other Asian countries.

Different societies have different immunities, for example, when colonial Brits settled inhabited landmasses, such as Australia, America, New Zealand they spread their common diseases, like whooping cough, which, while in Europe was harmless, decimated the natives.

It takes time for your immune system to get adjusted to a certain place. I was born in Shanghai but lives in Canada, every time i go back, i have to avoid greasy foods or sea foods and non home cooked foods in general for a week before my immune system gets adjusted and i can go all out. A traveller going to a new place and immediately gets some street food is just asking for diarrhoea

People do know that... When cooking stuff past 70 degrees, the heat actually destroys all bacterias. As long as the rust doesn't come off into the food, then yeh this is edible. Or lots of military guys would have died or succumbed by diseases and often military people are the most healthiest people (physically) until they meet and can't outrun bullet. Well in my country they are, dunno about other military countries healths though.

The real problem is melting of the styrofoam. From hundreds of degrees from the wok going straight to the styrofoam will probably cause health issues. I noticed most cooks do that by saving time.

few days here, alberta, E.coli, outbreak from beef burgers. 4 yrs old girld died. But you will hardly ever become sick because of eating Chinese food, if they were cooked through high heat process. You will be sick by eating half cook, or 7/10 cook beef, or never cooked salad ect. Due to the bacteria were not killed during that process. Do you guys remember the Mad Cow disease ?

If I was in the street vendor's position here I'd be pretty pissed off at these obnoxious people whether I could understand them or not. (Being laid back is great, but... they don't sound like the sharpest knives in the drawer) But there is a danger of disease in wok cooking, kind of: if you heat oil past the smoke point then you could be releasing mutagens and setting yourself up for cancer in the long term.

Second attempt. Although I think the person who was downgrading the blue-collar guy in this vid did a excellence job of giving a perfect script of himself. However I prefer not to use racial terms that categorize someone or a group such as "typical americans". I mean I'm asian but I don't use those terms, it's better to be more direct if you're referring to an object or someone when you write your comment, use HE or SHE, or THAT guy. That way you don't offend necessary people. Peace.

The vendors happen to be very fastidious about their work area, because if someone got sick, they'd be in deep trouble. I feel really bad for the vendor and hope the poor guy couldn't understand what these two were saying. Regardless, the vendors themselves are pretty damn skilled at what they do. You wouldn't get even half the effort in Europe.
