These were the days. This event was my first time going driving to the event. Had my P's and me and a mate headed to Canberra for the weekend. I started going in the early 80's with my dad and brother. I continued going every year until 2007. I had cars entered back in the day. I was there when the riots happened and saw how it all changed over the years after that. I'm still a car guy but have no interest in going to the nats anymore, but I always watch the highlights. Thanks for the memories.

I still have photographs that I took just minutes after he crashed it, but it was the year before that you're thinkin of. He had 88NATS on his number plate.
