Street Market Benalmadena Malaga Spain Walking Tour July 2023 [4K]

There are two large street markets in Benalmadena one on a Wednesday in the car park top side of Paloma park. The second is on a Friday in Tivoli car park in Arroyo de la Miel.
Street markets are an integral part of Spanish culture: they often provide a focal point for the community and are a wonderful place to mix with the locals. The Costa Del Sol is home to a wide variety of markets in different sizes and with different focuses. They are a great place purchase locally grown fruit and vegetables, household goods, handicrafts, and so much more, and they are just as appealing to visitors and expats as they are to Spanish locals.

Missed a few of your really good videos. I know that Benalmadena is a City and is divided into 3 main areas. This area is of course Arroyo De la Miel which many of your watchers will not know. I love Arroyo, to my mind if you are looking for a relaxed safe place to vacation I doubt if there is a better place on the Costa Del Sol. This market is usually very busy, and over the summer months attracts very large crowds, and it can be unbelievably hot. Plenty of bars restaurants close by. Can I suggest , as an example, Pueblo Sol , great bar, and a free tapa of paella on a Friday (market day) Keep up the good work, well done.

Spot the english person : prize for who can spot them . Makes us think twice about investing in that area in property ! Ugh . Seems you’ve got to go kinda inland to get away from them . Don’t want to be cheek by jowl with Uk visitors - no thanks . Excellent video as always . Love your work morning nhu . We have reason to say what we say . Being barged past and walked into isn’t pleasant and quite frankly it looks as ugh as Fuengirola mercadillo. Yes it’s the height of the season but we’d definitely be choosy where we live . Higueron is a gorgeous area and it’s away from this but one can visit in the less busy months . This is kind of Arroyo de la miel and it merges with the other municipios . Not an area we’d like to settle in . Your videos are so helpful in reminding us about how crowded it will be . From Canada with hugs

This video was made in the Summer, hence the tourists. This is the best place on the Costa Del Sol. Arroyo is a bit of a secret. Only those English that know about the place venture there. They are more likely to stay down by the coast. You won't find too many British residents here. Being Spanish they don't really, or want to understand it. Going inland is often a bad move for Brits. It might be cheaper, but you may find yourself quite isolated. Arroyo in a way is the gateway to anywhere in Spain or Europe. Look at the videos of walks around Arroyo. First thing that I notice is how clean the place is. The second is how chilled it is. Thirdly that the Spanish know how to behave. Fourthly you would be seriously impressed as to what Arroyo puts on for the locals. Everything from the festival of the 3 kings, to Sr Patrick celebrations (yes there are Spanish people that celebrate St. Patrick's, and a whole host of religious festivals and activities for the children.) You won't find anywhere in Britain that does so much for the people.
