Street Market in Yangon

In this video Elena visits Konzedan Street in Downtown Yangon. Here she explores its vibrant street market. She buys fresh bread for just 15 cents, looks at homemade yogurt sold on the street in clay jars, sits down for a large meal costing just $1. Later she looks as fresh fruit stalls, old colonial buildings, wholesale nut sellers as well as one of the cheapest hotels you can find in Downtown Yangon.

During my earlier stay at the Aung Chan Tha Ward,Sanchaung Township in Yangon, I used to savor the tasty food at Konzedan Street in Downtown Yangon.There are actually plenty to explore and be adventurous and brave enough to eat what my Burmese friends recommended and together we enjoyed what was handed to us on a platter. I really missed the time I served in Yangon then as an expatriate in the 60s

Nice video. I’ve walked all around these streets. It was sad to see what was going on in Myanmar in recent months. My wife and I visited there a couple years ago and had a great time. I was really surprised how geared up for tourism Myanmar was. It’s easily my favourite South East Asian country now and I’ve visited all of them.
