Yes Cali called them out to race the fastest Cali street racers, but okc got to pick who would be invited to race and had to pass tech, have a drivers license, and all that, they picked the cars that would race, they picked who THEY wanted to run, and even did the match ups themselves, those weren't California's fastest street racers...

OK was testing on the street all day and adjusting tire pressure, nitrous, and other parameters, while the CA cars all came straight off the trailer and into a race. The result of this is obvious, the CA cars got loose, did wheelies, etc, while OK already had all those issues worked out in previous passes. Yes they could have tested at another time, but road conditions change, just like track conditions do. Whether this was all on purpose or not, who knows. I think the OK boys probably just took advantage while the video crew was setting up.

Looked like in most of the races that Cali lost, they either got loose from their cars not being setup correctly, got out of the throttle completely, or stood it on the bumper.

Not a chance a street will ever be prepped better than a track. Track had more rubber down than a street and the rubber is spread all the way down the track. This was equal cars and okc won. Pull the skirts up and try again. It's all in good fun anyways remember this everyone.

Lucas Carter You think they drive their cars back and forth to work in Cali like daily drivers or something? The truly fast cars are not driven for prolonged periods no matter how you like to race. Street cars that can run a 1/4 and then be driven around all day with no issues are not in the same category as any of these cars (cali or okc). You think Boddies Nova or that Vega would not run into problems if driven prolonged? I know what you're saying though. They should remove the "outlaw" from the name. You cant blame them though. Race on the street with no fear of the law? Cali is much more authentic "outlaw" racing as far as the law is concerned but their cars are not that far apart. And as they say "you chase, you race".

Everybody that keeps whining about how the producers shut Cali down, this, that, and the other, do you see any Discovery cameramen there? I sure as shit don't. Watch some of Platinum1320's other videos where they're talking about how they basically had to sneak out of OKC in borrowed trailers and trucks to even get there. No DSC involvement with this one. Cali lost straight up. It ain't easy to put put that much power down on unprepped, uneven asphalt no matter how much tire you got under you, and those crazy ass Okie's got it down to a science! You people do realize that okc picked the cars they wanted to race, not Cali's fastest cars, and even then, the cars okc picked had to pass a full tech inspection, that's not street racing, most of Cali's fastest street race cars would never pass inspection, cause they are cars that race on the street, not these track cars that are on a street with permits, tech inspections, and all prepped. Plus had to run 1/8 mile, Cali runs 1/4 mile. I understand that the discovery channel would only let them race 1/8 mile for insurance reasons but this is not real street racing. They cherry picked the races to make them look good on their show. Props to them for choosing correctly to make themselves look extremely fast, they got all you suckers fooled, so I guess they did their jobs.

the reason they do the burnouts is so they lay down hot fresh rubber then they back onto it so its a warm tire sitting on hot rubber, which makes it seem like a prepped track for a few minutes. thats why they do that but a track offers more sticky ness for a greater distance because a track has had more people do a burnout causing there to be a sticky surface for a long time to come

there is video's on youtube......type this in the search -------> Shawns Murder Nova PSRA passes.............4.75@153 in the 1/8th and that's probably around 7.1's at 185-190 MPH ( give or take ) in the 1/4....either way it's fast.............probably around 2500 HP

The outcome of this would have been different on the track. People seem to forget that if you lose your car isn't slower...theres numerous factors that go into losing or winning. Its a gamble. Had they all raced twice results could have changed. Some days you get lucky. Others you're fucked
