street photography for anxious people

Street photography takes more courage and effort for people with anxiety, like myself. So, I brought in friends to push me out of my comfort zone.

The Leica M4-2 and Fujifilm XT-1 belong to my friend Dragan.
Everything was filmed with the Sony a7C II (Picture Profile 11 / S-Cinetone) and the following lenses:
Sony 20-70mm f4 G (Chapter 1)
Sony 85mm f1.8 (Chapter 2)
Sony 50mm f2.5 G (Chapter 3)
Samyang 24mm f2.8 (Outro)
Selfie footage shot with the Google Pixel 8 Pro.
Edited with DaVinci Resolve (Studio version). I do little to no color correction.

So inspired by your journey here - to me, street photography is like when you first learn to swim. The panic of holding onto the edge of the pool and not letting go, then the initial moments when free can feel out of control and overwhelming, but then, with confidence, you find you can let it take you wherever you want and the possibilities are endless. Please post more - would love to see where the journey takes you.

Street photography scares the SH*T out of me, mostly being exposed myself, having a person look back at me and say "No, don't do that", or worse. Very nice work Justine :) Your keywords get a little expressive toward the end and I'm here for it.

Amazing video. I know obviously I'm not the only person that feels this way with everything I do or try to learn, but it's good to see someone breaking out of the curse of Anxiety or even just being shy. I've come a long way. Took my camera out for the first time yesterday. But I really want to learn photography. At least be good enough for me to like the pictures I take.
