Did you ever feel unsafe in genova with your gear out like this?

Not at all. Which is surprising after how many people told me this place can be sketchy. Like any city, I'm sure it can be, but I didn't feel it. Of course, I was out in the day and might have avoided the worst areas by coincidence. Being aware and walking with confidence will help in general, anywhere. Genova had a really good vibe and loads of character.
