Street Photography POV with the Sony ZV-1

Hi
Today we are using the (little pocket rocket) Sony ZV 1 camera doing Street Photography in Melbourne POV with Flash!
Having fun!
Flashing our way around the Melbourne CBD with the Sony Z-V1 camera and the FlashQ - Q20II speed-light x 2.
We captured most of our shots in black and white in this video with only one picture in colour.
Most of the pictures are unedited, apart from some minor exposure compensation corrections . I chose to shoot in both RAW and JPEG as I intend to produce my first ever Zine by the end of this year being 2024… oh that’s my goal anyway and a couple of these shots will be included in my first ever Zine, so that’s why I’m also shooting in RAW, for better quality files when needed for the Zine.

A tip for you.
How to improve your Street Photography? I suggest you pick-up your camera and go shoot in the street (weather permitting) as much as you can and with time everything will become natural to you. You’ll definitely overcome any fear or hesitancy of photographing in Public. In addition you’re building up your 10,000 hours of experience with every second you're on the street shooting pictures and you know the saying right... "practice makes perfect" so go have fun... but wait. please watch my video first-thanks!
Ok...now join me on my shoot with the Sony ZV-1 camera and a couple of speed lights in the Melbourne CBD during a warm Summers day yep...in January 2024. All in all, this shoot was a lot of fun!
We met a beautiful Model, a Chef, an Artist and a Street Photographer (another Canon shooter) on this journey, in addition, to our traditional "candid street photography" shots.
Seriously, if you’re looking for a new hobby, I highly recommend you having a go at Street Photography, there is a lot of different ways to approach the genre. This is just the way I approach it. I can tell you it’s whole lot fun for sure!

Hi😎. Yeah I think it’s a true gem! I’ve never owned such a practical camera for street photography. I highly recommend it. Especially if you’re mainly posting on social media platforms and viewing your images on a smart phone and it’s great for flash photography.! Thanks for watching and commenting. ✌️

JD, I’ve been enjoying your street photography with flash videos since I discovered you the other day when looking for videos on the FlashQ Q20 ii unit. I came across mine when going through boxes packed when we moved two years ago! I don’t think I ever really even used it but once or twice after purchasing several years ago but I’m now inspired by you and others to start using it for fun stuff (I do shoot headshots/portraits with Godoy flashes and modifiers). Works great with my Olympus OM-D E-M5 II but doesn’t work at all with my tiny Panasonic GM-5. Weird. I’m going to fashion a DIY modifier for it for close shots. Question: though the flash is working fine, the modeling light/video light doesn’t come on at all. Not really a problem as I don’t need them but just wondering why not. Has this ever happened to any of your units?

Correction: just tried with my Panasonic GM-5 again and it does work. Inserting transmitter onto hot shoe is a tight fit and I hadn’t gotten it completely seated when I tried last night. I’m now set with a tiny camera (I meany TINY!) and the FlashQ!
