Looking to buy one. What's the difference? Just the new gen vs old? I found a used FZ, couple grand cheaper then a new. Would buying an old one be a mistake. Are the new ones just that much better. Excuse my ignorance, coming from a Harley. I know, I know. Lol

Man I’ve spent the entire last two days looking into them and I’m stuck at he same spot I think newer just because it’s a few grand more and less miles or ware but it confused the hell out of me thinking if they where two completely different bikes

@@michaelhazelwood6698 yea. From what I've seen 2018, 2019 is the best year. As far as looks go imo. The later model offer the sp version that has better suspension and Cruz control. Just suck in today's world dealing with dealerships. At least in my experiences. Is a complete waste of time. Don't let me test ride a bike. I have 7 years of riding experience and I was told no to test driving a bike. Like wtf?

Late to the party here, but aside from suspension and I think abs brakes and such the computer has a slightly different tune for throttle response. Other than some really small things like that it's the same. Well, they did change the letters. I own a 2015 fz09

Gen 1 and gen 2 FZ09 it’s the first model
