it just amazes me that this video is about 60 years old and so many people in this video might not be with us now. I hope people living now realise that one day they are going to be a part of history as well. I hope people don't take their life for granted and break through whatever challenges they face in current circumstances. Enjoy life an time when and be always here

That is how I feel too. You have described our condition perfectly. We are not just watching the lives of others, because the bell tolls for us all. This video...like so many other sources from the past...simply shows us how we occupy a piece of time that is short and finite. I think when that is accepted, the past as shown allows us to make union with what we are, and those who have been what we are. That is why I like to show old film...it punctures the sense that anything more than this is happening!

@@maxustaxus I liked the part when you said the bell tolls for us all. Reminds me of Pink floyd album Bell division. Please continue to share this kind of videos.

It's the same for me when I see old videos or photos from 50 or even 100 years ago... not only are those people no longer with us, but they could have no idea that 50-100 years later someone would still be looking at the photograph or film. When I see children I wonder what they grew up to be.

It`s a great moment to compare this old scenery with the documents of the recently showed Tihar/Dipawali scenery of 2024. During an engagement in a foreign aid project between 1959 and 1964 , we lived in a Kathmandu of ancient times - that was a lifetime experience indeed. Unforgetable !

Not only cow, mankind should stop eating all animals. People who eat meat are 'devil in disguise'. Mankind have many choices for food. There is no need to eat meat or drink milk for human races. But, people who are in form of human being in fact they are devil by inside eat meat. Human stomach are not graveyard of cow, dog, pig, hen or cock. Go to meditation! Dhammapad! Buddha saranam gachhami!

Now i know why foreigners used to love Kathmandu city at that time and made them keep coming back to Nepal. City looks still same but just overly over populated like everywhere in the world through out periods.

Same. The fact that many people in here are probably dead and what we saw is just a part of history that we possibly will never experience is weirdly heart wrenching. Also the music used. Ah man time flies so fast.
