I liked seeing you pick up something as simple as a pen. There are somethings that I haven't needed to buy from a store in years. Like paper and pens/pencils, lightbulbs from lamps & a nice lamp when I need it. I've got a couple of sweet Dyson vacuums (probably more than $500 brand-new) lots of tools working laptops. I probably save several thousand dollars a year on things I used to buy but now I recycle!! Have a GREAT Day My Friend!!!!

Awesome Video it's so motivating to watch you pick through people's "trash" when in reality it's worth so much money. All you need to start this is literally a driver's license and $25 for rental truck at U-Haul and $75 in gas. Literally $100 to get started. Next you'd need the knowledge and off you go. Great video👍👏

Nice Nintendo cartridge, looked like Turok 2 N64. Not a big priced item here in US probably only around $10-15 but appears to have a crack in the front which probably kills its value. Always could scrap the board and if the back shell is in nice condition with the sticker not ripped it could get a few bucks on Ebay or elsewhere.

25:37 - a bike frame. He took one of those the other day, but that was aluminium, whereas this one was almost certainly steel [ and maybe would have also required some nasty separating ]. But, then again, he takes only one of two steel frame thingos which are also there, presumably owing to weight, and which does not look like some sort of " keeper ". Judgement calls.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion so here is mine!! Now I know that there will be some comments said and I will sit back and read them all but I will NOT reply to any of them as I don't condone in playing childish games I say it like I see it.... Like I said each to there own!!!. Ben, However I agree that you wish to make a few $$$ with the scrap steel that is great go your hardest. But all the Computer systems that you find some really good systems and some real old ones and the way you pick them up and just throw them around like and old rag!! Where as I repair them and then and give them away to people with special needs and I don't make any money out of it at all the smile on someones face is enough for me and the leftover waste I also give away to a local scrap Metal yard....Also I don't condone in what you and all the other pathetic scrappers are doing by cutting cords off items that may still work, where as people that are doing it extremely hard could put these items to good use!! Like I said I test all items first and give them away if safe to so, but by you and all the other fools doing this you are putting more and more rubbish into landfill unnecessary !!! Last but not least please have a bit of common sense and park your van to the side of the road and then get out and get your scrap your not going to miss out don't just stop in the middle of the street for one it is illegal and inconsiderate and unsafe.

Why modems. There can’t be mich in them
@iainlynch29094 жыл бұрын
Modems have quite small boards but they often have good gold bearing chips plus half a dozen network connectors with gold pins. They are quick and easy to scrap, so they are pretty decent value all things considered. Not great but there are so many that they soon add up.
@jackdean92024 жыл бұрын
plenty of precious metals though. sell bulk precious metal recovery scrap and you can get a good little bit of side cash.

@jackdean92024 жыл бұрын
Some scrappers are more in it for the fun rather than the money. But it gets you money and its fun. As long as its fun, its not wasting your time. I agree, very fun videos. You should get into scrapping man. Its fun
@iainlynch29094 жыл бұрын
The big metal items are often low value - for example he may get a dollar for the circuit board from a modem compared to 40 cents for a metal bed frame for example. The bed frame would be a lot more effort to move, take up more space and be generally more hassle to deal with. Plus Ben is more into the street scrapping for fun and some value from the value of the bits he picks up than anything, so the bigger metal items are too much hassle normally to meet his criteria.
