unbelievable how open Brent is about showing this process in this much detail... so many years of accumulated knowledge being given to the viewers for free.. big shout out for this Brent definitely inspiring many young gearheads to get into whats usually the scariest part of a build themselves

Dyno tuning tuning will always be the better option but I have seen it where it's been Street tuned running very similar afr's as the dyno almost same timing but it runs better on the street tune because the dyno does not load it at the same weight that the car is loaded on the street. Also you can push a car way harder on the street than you can on a dyno. Especially if it's a light car. That's why they always turn them up at the track.

No he stopped the first run at 7200rpm, it would have made an ass load more power on the street tune run if he spun it to 8500 like he did on his run. No doubt the tune is a lot better but the % gained is a little fluffed up in this case.

Fixed AFR, added 3° to intk and ign? Huge gains! I've been self tuning a stock block 1zz Turbo MR-S and was running into a knock issue at only 9° of ignition timing, made 200whp. A little bird told me about intake cam advance.. Now I am at 15-16° ign timing, but still not sure what makes more power; more intake timing or more ignition timing. Need more dyno time!

ive decided after a little while at looking at engines and trying to decide what to put in my escort ive decided on a k series turbo. but not having messed with turbos before its going to be a new challenge but there are still questions i have, my plan is to get a salvage civic or accord and build the kit and bug fix the kit in the civic and after some fun... i mean testing and then get a s2000 gearbox with a adapter plate/bellhousing and fit it in the escort but. but the main questions i have is what software are you using, what size turbo will i need for 400-500bhp im thinking a 66mm ish with a 48mm wastegate, what fuel pressure is needed and are you still using the stock ecu or is it a specific stock ecu. by the way current set up is a 9000rpm vauxhall(gm) redtop with twin 48's also im uk and an old dog trying to learn new tricks so any help would be great XDXD
