I do live shows in my home town when i get the opportunity, and when I do, i mostly perform with original content. I'm back and the reason is that I just love thid cover it's perfect but I was commenting on a reaction to ren and was discussing how his music is so creative that it and the majority of music is at its best form performed by the person who wrote it because of the intimate connection between the meaning and style but I stopped myself and referenced this video as the only exception I've found in where the cover is more impactful than the original and it's not like streetlight doesn't have some of my favorite music but the way you perform this song, the capo choice to assist your range and the emotions that get conveyed through this rendition is really how I want to listen to this piece of work. And that's rare in art, not often is a song played with more personal impact and clarity by someone who is covering it. But it probably just seeks to the way the song impacted you and your artistic ability to express the impact it had on your life. And tbh the og track is too fast and doesn't express the sadness of the story even though it also is fukn awesome and worth listening to. But this is the only example I could think of to change that thought I had so I wanted to hear it again and I guess share it hahaha hope you are still jamming BR because you are amazing 🤍

This song is such an anthem to the youth, I had this adventurous spirit any time things got tough I could leave town wind up somewhere buy a 40oz and just start meeting new people. Now I am old and sickly, I can't take that one way ticket to anywhere because I am now bound by doctors and medication to fight the old addictions I had developed through travelling. Now that I am older still love this song but truly being bound by money and health is the despair of the old......F*ck aging why do we have to do it? I would love to stay 25 forever and eat from the land and never be sick! Now the hope of this song is a snapshot in my mind and all the old travelling kids are either dead or got trapped somehow some way.......F*CK THE SYSTEM!!!!

Do you ever busk? People love when I play streetlight songs downtown. If you take your voice to the streets you're going to meet tons of great people and probably make great money too! If you're in Michigan or surrounding States we could do a duet sometime. Just some food for thought. I love playing for people but I don't play shows. I just sit in the most crowded areas and sing until my throats sore. Make sure you have some friends with you and or some kind of protection.

not necessarily a "bad" thing, just something that makes you appear a little unsteady or even off-putting. Again I loved the song, listen to it regularly, the video just doesn't do it for me, heartbreak is like a jump scare, its not actual sorrow, its just the embodiment of a loss of raw passion, just as a jump scare isn't actually scary, its startling, close but not quite the real deal. Really it just doesn't work for this song in particular because it comes off like you are singing from the perspective of the "her" from the song when it should be taken from the point of someone balancing on losing their best friend because they have no control over saving them.
