How lowdown and deplorable can you get?! She only apologized because the old man was the manager's father and founder of the company. Just because you don't know someone from a can of peanuts doesn't mean you should treat them poorly. The bible tells us to treat our neighbors as good as we do ourselves. Also, I totally agree with the father on his reasoning for not hiring the male candidate in the hallway. He just sat there and didn't say a mumbling word the whole time. I mean, sure, he didn't say anything bad against the elderly gentleman and he even looked shocked at how the young lady was treating him, but he also didn't speak up for him. He didn't even try to help him up off the floor to see if he was okay. Silence is golden in most situations, but in instances such as these, it's a form of complicity in wrongdoing and cowardice.
