Billy and Tommy you have an amazing dad, he is so meticulous in what he does, he's trying to pass on that knowledge to both of you, I wish my dad was around when I was both your ages, I only met my dad a year before he died, but he was a great mechanic. Cherish every minute you have with your dad because he is special, I just hope you both see it.

Brake system is complete and the fuel system was going in today. A few small punch list items and a good transmission guy and i'm ready to go again after almost 20 yrs now.

Dad is pretty sharp knowing that chain slack causes erratic timing at idle. I always check it about 1300 or so to smooth it out. Good job guys. 👍🏼👍🏼

I am so glad you described the timing the way a chain does. Every engine I have ever put a timing light on the timing has jumped a bit. Not much but not dead steady. It appears as though this engine is going to be rocksteady on the timing.

HELL FUCKING YEAH!!!!! Been waiting for the first fire up. I have been wanting to use the Pontiac style 18 degree heads since I saw them on a Nova back in the late 90s. Had a set of Buick ones but never used them . When you all mentioned the new heads I was like that motor is gonna be bad ass.
