Seeing this makes me miss those endless days where we were grinding for a No Death. Then you get it and it looks so easy in some of the most impossible sections. Then you get to Mr. X and it's like: "you going to be a punk?" and sure enough he always is so you have to try and keep cool when you've got a tappel of health left between you and glory. I didn't realize how really brutal and random Mr.X is until I went for no death and encountered him the first time I got thru stage 7, I almost had to re learn the whole approarch for that fight in order to be victorious in no death attempt. You were right when you said that you get better at the game, eventually you come to only 1 death, and then you spend 6 months grinding no death like a moron. That's pretty much how it went for me :D Thanks for inspiring me to go for this ridiculous challenge and reach such incredible hights in sor2 Mania, Antho! :)

The reason I did that is I didn't wanna risk not being able to grab chicken in time in case something goes wrong, since I'm not very good at that sword strat, but I did get REALLY good at handling that section with bare hands, so I went for it in the end. I also wish I beat Mr.x with slightly more health left than just a tapple, but what you gonna do, victory is still victory :) Thanks man!

@@king__iopa6841 Keep in mind, most players can’t even do this on hard mode 😂 I always wish for someone like this to play it with me cause I am pretty good. Not like you…you are top of the top but we could have fun playing it together. Used to play it with my father, he was insane and did what you did already in the mid 90s more than once. Still see him with 2 controllers press the buttons for the settings for Mania and if I was near he asked me to do it 🤣 I always played it on hardest or mania without knowing it cause of him. He gave me the controller and let me play. I was 3 years old. Great memories, I miss him so much. Can’t imagine to play it lower than hardest 😂

Your skills are very impressive, to say the least. The enemies have so much health compared to your character, it's borderline ridiculous. I only managed to finish Very Hard mode twice, after who knows how many frustrating failures. I always lose a few lives when fighting Abadede and/or Roger Bear, the rest usually being taken away by Mr. X himself. Thanks for sharing this with us simple mortals :)

Spawning Tomcat was on purpose, but him picking me up and slamming into Jet was RNG. Stuff like that is not something you can predict in this game.

My father was that good too. He played Mania alone, no death and on hardest, he didn’t even get a single hit. Insane…

I need some tips for Hardest, and, in the future, mania. My biggest struggles are: The ninja people, in full suits, not shirtless, such as Ryuohin in stage three, in the alien place. the elevator in stage 7, and 8. The trio of knife man, and the two big boys. Also the knife man, and the two Electra's. Preserving lives Enemy patterns (not bosses) And R.Bear, and R.JR. The closest I've gotten is dying to the kickboxers in the Abadede level in the elevator, on hardest. And don't worry, I got all of summer break to figure these things out. That's about 1,000 hours, excluding sleep hours. Edit: By the way, I play on PS3, with a PS3 controller, with the Sega Ultimate Genesis Collection disk. This is important, because the controls are different. Triangle is speacial, X is jump, and Square/O is attack. I use the D-pad to move, because it's easier to do the Grand-upper with it.

Item limitation of the game. The mace arms of the robots count as items. I purposely make Soya throw 6 knives on the ground before entering robots, so there's no hitbox on the mace attacks, because they don't physically exist. It's an exploit.

Да он и щас наверное так будет твердить. Он просто не очень любит сор2 в целом. А еще он принципиально смотрит на игры со своей субъективной колокольни и судит их по аспекту "как задумывали разработчики". Ну то есть, в СОР правильно играть - это идти вперед, спавнить всех врагов разом, а потом уже драться. А вот призывать их по очереди и абузить точки спавна - это уже ломать игру и неправильно играть. Но в сор2 очень быстро умрешь, если будешь тупо спавнить всех без разбору - и поэтому сор2 не очень хорошая игра. А вот бит ем апы в которых можно спавнить всех врагов разом и выжить - это хорошая игра. Вот примерно так рассуждает Брик Ман, и спорить бесполезно.

It's actually an old glitch that was discovered long ago. If you have the Knife Guy throw 6 knives and leave all 6 knives on the floor, the robots can't hit you. Because the robots attacks counts as weapons and with so many knives on the floor already, their attacks don't register.

It's just using the game's technical limitation to advantage. 6 knives on screen remove hitbox from the robot's mace arm. It's not a cheat technically, and no cheats were used in this run either.
