I remember this game for a very long time, and Axel Stone is my favorite character. The fight against the fake Axel tells the whole story as to who really kidnapped the General, and it looks like The Syndicate is sitting Axel up, so the Wood Oak City Police thinks that Axel is the kidnapper. I was pissed when they did that heinous act. Axel and Skate (Adam's brother) has thrusting issues, Dr. Gilbert Zan was once a member of The Syndicate, he gave the location of the bombs to Blaze Fielding, and he's a good friend of the General. His hatred against the Syndicate for causing the events leading him to becoming a cyborg

I think the Japanese version has the best story out of all 4 GAMES!!!!
