Its funny you say that, because if you change the title on the Cover of the album, this would sell through the EDM, Techno, House and Dub-step crowd.. The Album literally could stand alone without the help of the game.. the game itself could stand alone without the Soundtrack but together its perfect harmony; which makes for a wicked bond.. each side enhancing the experience of the other, but on their own both have enriching experiences.. just something magical about the whole thing!

After the developers uploaded the video about music of SOR4, so many people were worried that it was only gonna be dub step and ruin what could arguably be one of SOR's best features-- the soundtrack. Turns out they were just keeping all the great music from us. What a dangerous albeit satisfying way to keep us in suspense. I am beyond in love with the game. Feels like 26 years of waiting was worth it, and I hope they heavily consider revamping SOR into a new breed. An excuse to give us franchise favorite characters with more power, more levels, more gameplay... and above all... more music. Yuzo Koshiro... Olivier Deriviere's tracks are phenomenal. Call the Cops, Funky HQ, Storm Boat, An Exhibition, and Rising Up (especially Rising Up) are classics. Koshiro and Kawashima still chipped in a few tracks, but damn Deriviere would be a good composer to hand the reigns of the series off to.

Just about all the tracks for boss fights tell you something about the boss. The "screams" for Nora, the steady beat for Max that convey his near-unstoppable nature, and the unhinged and frantic one for Mr Y, perfect for a guy who fights with a rocket launcher and grenades while in the cockpit of an airborne plane.

The OST for this game is ridiculously good. I never played the originals but this game feels exactly like how i would imagine an arcade beat em up would feel. As a side note: i wish all devs would be more ambitious with their OSTs. Doom, Ghostrunner and SoR4 all clearly focused on their OST and it sounds amazing and its far from forgettable

@Lightblue22224 жыл бұрын
@@Habanero420 neat. I grew up with regular Nintendo in the mid 90s, then Genesis shortly after. I was introduced to Streets of Rage through Sega Channel. It was an adapter cart that hooked the Genesis to the cable outlet in the late 90s. So I never purchased many physical games for the system since they were all on cable for years. Later N64 won me over and so on.. My newest system is XBOX360. So PS3 doesn't seem old to me yet. Speaking of Genesis PS3 and 360 the Genesis Collection has the 3 streets of rage games. That's what inspired me to go buy a Genesis again, Genesis Collection for PS3 and 360 is A+, reminds me of Sega Channel, except the games don't change every month lol
