You keep saying "shoppers" about the pink people. Correct me if Im wrong here, but Isnt the pink ones tourists? And then the blue ones would be shoppers, right?

Does this game with 2 players quickly devolve into closing each other streets asap? Just stop the other from scoring more than a couple points at once. 🤔

If you only close other streets, you will not have points for your streets. But you can build your own streets or use another player's streets to get more points with your buildings.

No, it can just as easily become a game where you start off building in two separate places by yourself. Closing off another player is costly, as the building you use for it might score poorly. In the beginning the values of the buildings will score you much more than the meeples:)

and yes as Dalymad says it's often better to simply join in on an opponents Street and benefit from their work.
