man this was a nice stroll in the past. If it wasnt for LRG, Bape, Girbaud, etc... I probably never would have been into clothes/fashion. But for me true streetwear in the Bay started like 07-08, first time i ever went to Haight St. going into Stussy, True, Kidrobot, Adidas concept store, etc... Thats when i transitioned from AF1 to rare dunks/ older era SBs. Im surprised there was no mention of that in this documentary, especially with HUF, BLACK SCVLE, Benny Gold, etc... IMO i felt HUF could have been our "Supreme" for the Bay. Rare Huf items/collabs back then were almost on par in quality/resale value with supreme from back then (huf still being a bit cheaper). Selfedge in SF really bringing up the denim scene as well.

They were never homies! And then u try to paint some picture like the Bay Area was on some dope boy shhh by only highlight og philthy rich and jacka🤦🏽🤦🏽 The fact u don’t know who lil B is proved how inaccurate this is. Why don’t u take a second to realize p-lo produced one of the hardest songs on his onifc album which was everything the Bay Area and Mac Dre stand for! U disrespected every person in HBK that brought the bay back after the pack kept it Lit in 2010s the end of this video is a disgrace to the bay and the real fashion we was on before everyone else! U don’t understand how the underground hardcore scene on MySpace played into this. If u wanna bring anybody from outside the bay into this u gotta bring up young Soulja 💪🏽 Pioneered all this! And he documented it all! If u never had a sidekick u not old enough to understand this culture! I’m glad u know who Mac Dre is tho lol that’s important!
