Streisand after the Oscars

Barbra Streisand speaks after the 2010 Oscars where she presented the Academy Award to Katherine Bigelow for Best Director. Streisand has directed 3 films herself, Yentl, The Prince of Tides and The Mirror Has Two Faces. Many say she directed A Star Is Born with the help of Frank Pierson.

She spent so much of her formative years being derided & sneered at by the men in the industry she chose that it's little wonder she may find it difficult to 'lighten up' now.She's not perfect,she has her 'foibles' & weaknesses,as do we all.But this shouldn't detract from the exemplory entertainer she is & has been for 5 decades. I struggle to name one 'star' of today of whom we'll be able to say THAT of.
