Grabbing the gun at the end and holding it must of been so satysfying also when it clicked and your like wait i can hold this this tho.

Awesome! I just bought an oculus quest 2, waitting it to arrive. I am quite sure this will be game changing for my 3D hard surface concept art. Is awesome how easy and fast it is to make complex shapes and how precise you can control the edges and bevels.

The craziest part to me is how you came up with this design and decided to sculpt instead of model it.

Very interesting modeling, thx for sharing, do u think that Medium could become a software for industrial design? I only see modeling for characters. Gravity seems to be better in order to build product design, but Medium seems easier.
@hezezhs2 жыл бұрын
Gravity sketch is lacking boolean features. It throws 2 steps back in productivity unfortunately.

Is it usable as an asset in a video game ? I mean is it game ready ? or can we edit de mesh topologie like optimise it ?
@DevGods2 жыл бұрын
This video legit motivated me to learn how to use medium. Question though. How do you go about making this compatible with game engines? I was thinking right before you go into big details and you have your basic shapes and forms down to export it out to be retopo (Zremesher) and then continue with the high end details in medium
@miketan56033 жыл бұрын
do you use a remesher after the export to clean up the topology before you make the textures?

damn you're good! i love the design, i can imagine the feeling of holding the gun you just created in your hand :D I was curious if you figured out the design directly in vr or you did some 2d sketches beforehand

Hi! Amazing design work, amazing result! I´ve tried to sculpt a gun in Medium too. Everything worked fine and I´ve got an overall good form. BUT when detailing, I´m getting trouble. So, How do you hold your hands suck still to hold the right angle?!? Did you use snapping or surface attraction? Did you always use the highest resolution stage? Have you remeshed it? Where have you rendered it out? Cause your mesh looks so polished and min so blocky (especially after exporting) Many questions, but it would be nice to help me out. Best Regards

I'm not sure if I'm more impressed by the model or whatever computer you've built to record VR while sculpting that long. I haven't used medium in a few months but stuff like this makes me wanna give it another shot (at least until it crashes). How much further did you have to go with this to get that render? I'm still learning a lot about modelling but I'm guessing shaders and textures for the stickers and color? This is amazing attention to detail, awesome job!
