U speak facts Dubs! I went thru so much pain in my body. I couldn't walk. I needed help getting out of bed. I needed help going to the bathroom to sit on the toilet. My girlfriend passed away from lupus back in 2019 at 27 years old. She got diagnosed in early 2017 and only made it two years. She was still a trooper. She dealt with her daily activities and work regardless of the pain. Lupus is basically the body attacking itself. Ever since she left, I haven’t been the same since. I’m glad you pulled through.

Never trafficked dope again, never seen the inside of a jail cell since. My wife has had its ups and downs, but overall I’ve been a very success. Finished my college degree, got my MBA, worked at ad agencies for a decade and now I’m a professor teaching marketing. If the kids only knew lol… long sleeves are a must at work 😉

You’re on the right path. But they needed guidance. Just speaking from experience. My husband has been in prison all his life. Since the age of 13 he has been in and out. His pattern never changed. He got out in January at 41 and has finally after 28 years decided that he never wants to go back. I really wish you were around before. I personally think you would have changed his life. And I know you are doing big things and you’re saving lives. You’re a gift from God 🙏 you give me a new found faith in humanity. And I know you’ll be successful at anything you do. We discussed this and Gino knew that he could not change the first act, though he realized, as Dubs noted, that he beat the odds by getting a second chance and he was gonna do everything in his power to positively influence the youngsters comin up. New subscriber! Damn, I live in Norwalk and didn't know it happened here. Someone had said it was a motorcycle accident, and i thought thats what it was. Norwalk used to be active in the 90's. You still have a few neighborhoods, but not a lot of activity as it once was. Three gangs are almost extinct. Houses have more than doubled since I bought our home 9 years ago. That's part of why gangs here are not really active as before. A lot have moved out. I have seen the numbers as far as these things happening here and the numbers are way down. Just a tragic incident.

Most of Peaceful & NHD is older guys that don't even live here anymore. Numbers are wau down. The one ways will always be somewhat active because of the houses. They are cheaper there and pretty much from were owned by the parents. I've seen the statistics from the 1990's and in those areas where those 3 gangs were existed, there's hardly no activity these days. Great for the people like myself that live here.

@antlowks I go off stats in the city. Crime rate is down 20% for violent crimes, theft, etc. I know they are still here, but nowhere near how it once was. My sister taught at a school near Peaceful. There were many from there that picked up their kids even in the early 2000's. Not active at all these days. You barely see it up. Sometimes near Pioneer/Imperial. Once again, their numbers are really low. Same thing for Orange St. I see it up at times. Yes, new generation, but probably the nephews of veteranos that once existed. I've talked to a Veterano from NHD. There's hardly anyone around. Early 90's, and 2000's, yes. You could go to the park behind on Foster and you would see them. I run 🏃♂️ by there all the time. No one around. Numbers don't lie by boy. That's why I bought my house here. I knew about the One Ways and Carmelas. That's quite far from where I stay. Gentrification, to a certain extent, moved those gangsters that were around before. Before, there was almost a shooting weekly. Like I said, I look at the numbers and those don't lie. There's hardly gang related shootings now. Look it up, down 20% from the previous year. I think it's you that don't know. Nothing wrong with that holmes. You will continue to say it's active, even though the numbers say otherwise. I bought my home 9 years ago at $350,000 & now worth about $750,000. Most gangsters moved out of the city due to the prices. The homes that are under construction on the corner of Foster/San Antonio will start in the $650,000 range. I did my research my boy before moving here and knew the numbers would decline. Sorry to tell you the truth. Al rato homie!

I leave this comment as a thought to consider. Before anyone gets released, whether it is on parole, early release, by legislative order or an executive order. Those individuals are given conditions they are to adhere to, and must agree to comply with to effectuate their release. If you have seen court tv on arraignments, you've probably heard the judge present the "alleged" charges, then inform the accused of their rights, and their eligibility of release contingent on the severity of the alleged charges, then move on to release conditions (PR, Bond, etc). The judge then lays out conditions the accused must comply with, the accused can either agree or not, if they agree, they will sign the document under the penalty of law. That is pretty much what the convicted person to be released agrees, and signs. The condition usually has a clause in there, the released must NOT contact the victims, co-defendants, and must not congregate/affiliate with other convicted persons or felons that have not had their rights restored, and the list goes on. It is this last part, that trips up an individual, and the potential of facing legal issues. None of this applies to pardons, sentence has been fulfilled or individuals who have had their rights fully restored, and no longer labelled a felon. This is just an outline to get an idea why post release counseling services are not available, if an entity does provide such services (very few), said entity have to walk a very fine line. The stigma of being a felon DOES make it difficult for many to fit back into society. This is where Dubs, and others, provide valuable guidance through social media, to help former inmate/convicts navigate the civilian world, their freedom, and deterrence. Sorry for the long-winded post.

One of the homies caught a body, and then years later after his bid all that. Then when he got out started living again, but the dude he smoked had a son, who is now an adult. That young man could not let it go. So he ended smoking the homie, he had brought 4 other people with him, so now all those lives, and the lives around them suffer. R.I.P Jon, and big Wicked
