Nothing compares to cold machined aluminum vs cast aluminum and the truss design on the SS are beefier than the KYX.

IDE still go with the KYX for the price @270lbs of force that’s never gonna happen with a RC car that weighs 6lbs. If that. I can see if it failed at 150lbs of force. Then maybe I would consider something else. Pointless testing in my opinion

Shock load, vs constant load. Dropping off a ledge, the cheaper housing will break quickly like when hit with the hammer.

The supershafty housing is a beautiful piece of machining but at probably 100* stronger than it needs to be the cheap version is pretty tempting. I think the front uprights might be a better test point? I'd imagine that is where you could get some funky loading during a roll with full lock on.

We have yet to have any failures to an axle housing or Chub, (Portal box mount) We have only had one failure at all, and that was at a link mount, but that was only because it wasn't mounted correctly.

@@SuperShaftyRC I'm not surprised. Maybe upright is the wrong term. I mean the two thin arms on the front axle that would be the C hub on a three piece axle. I think they would probably snap like a twig on a pot metal casting. I think the test you picked under sells your strengths. Keep up the good work.👍
