Strengthen Pool Ladder

This is a video on how to beef up a flimsy pool ladder without ruining its integrity. In this video we explain how to use pvc pipe to re-enforce a pool ladder. Using the pvc pipe will reduce the amount of flex in a rung while weight is applied to the ladder.

Thanks Austin for the idea. For those who may still be asking what size PVC conduit to use with this ladder. I used 3/4" schedule 80 pvc and it made a world of difference. also I just used a simple simple connector piece to keep them from sliding all the way down the tubes.

I have seen numerous reports/reviews of this ladder wanting to "float" when it is installed. I believe I will "beef up" my ladder as shown when it arrives but also fill the PVC lengths with sand to help prevent "float". I'm sure I can find caps or rubber corks to glue and plug the ends. Thanks for the beef up idea.
