I've used this jacket quite a bit and it does a great job across the board. With 3 different layers, an outer DWR (Durable Water Resistant) Tweave Durastretch, an insulated Polartec Alpha insulation layer and a Polartec Power Grid Fleece inner layer.
A great jacket for around town, backpacking, on the range or most anything else. Unzip the front in warmer weather or put on outer layers for extra warmth in the cold. A good all around jacket.

Polartec makes such good insulation. Everything I own with something they've designed in it works so well.

Beyond makes some awesome softshells, I have the Aptus which has similar construction and is very impressive in cold weather. I use it as my midlayer below my Certa level 7. I like how I can wear a base layer and this jacket and as long as I'm active, I'm comfortable and protected in most any weather.

Have they make their jacket bigger now. I’m a solid size large in Arcteryx fitted jacket but I’m beyond (one of their combat jacket in MC a few years back with the zip off sleeves), they fit like a medium. I’m scare to order anything else from them
