To treat “old, white stretch marks” you have to treat them like scars. Deep scars. So microneedling or dermarolling is recommended but can be expensive

Microneedling my old and white stretch marks (moderate to very deep) at home (at a depth of 2.5 mm) for 4-5 times improved them at least 40-50%. I use disposable dr pen heads for each session and make sure everything is disinfected still. Aftercare is also very important and I use a urea cream on my body mixed with a bit of retinol every day. I'm planning on getting co2 laser on them next.

Ladies, as I understand and base on my own pregnancy experiences, she means these Tretinoin products will help reduce the appearance of stretch marks, after you gave birth and had stretch marks already! And the last two items, they only help prevent stretch marks before your pregnancy belly’s getting bigger, and you should start using it when you’re at the 3 month pregnant to get the best result!

Looked up these products two of them are hyaluronic acid and the other we all know as a higher dose of retinol but it is more effective in this form. Micro needling and derma rolling have really helped me along with those two products but I've found for a lotion a good stretch mark cream with coco butter has worked wonders so idk why was knocking that. Creams with active ingredients are very important for fading as well as preventing them.

For old stretch marks Laser and microneedling- that’s it. Tretinoin for new ones. All the oils and lotions don’t do anything because they won’t get to the dermis where the damage is. Maybe they prevent or have mild benefit if new.

Or we could just leave them alone because they're a natural part of being a human being. As someone who has a chronic illness, it makes me physically sick to see healthy people hate their bodies. That body allows you to live and move and experience the world. I can't do that a lot of the time and I'd literally consist entirely of stretch marks if it meant I wasn't in pain a lot of the time. And there are people out there who are far more disabled than me and need full time care who'd kill for my level of health. What I'm saying is that we get caught up in the little things that don't matter and forget to count our blessings. You will age. It's inevitable. You'll get stretch marks and age spots and wrinkles. And eventually, you'll get back pain and knee pain and then you'll get serious health problems. It's natural and happens to us all but when you're older and less able to live life to the full, you'll kick yourself for ever thinking your younger, more able body was something you needed to fix.

Once every week after shower I use tretinoin mixed with a moisturizer of choice all over the body ( just like how you use a moisturizer all over the body). It has shown results. Derma rolling using a 0.5mm or 1mm needles and vitamin serum. Got rid of the 1st batch last year using 0.5. Just begin today using 1mm on a new set of stretch marks. I'm using 1mm this time. In a skin care course I learned that is important to know that oil is not enough, we need add water to the skin to moisture and after apply the oil . The oil is just a layer that the most of times not penetrate to the dermis , is just a layer. This is why need to use both to really nourish the skin

Stretch marks are signs of elasticity. The skin is not gum, if it goes beyond its limits, it will show signs hence stretch marks. It is similar to loose skin from weight loss, the skin is stretched due to weight for a long time, it will not bounce back, hence treatment via surgery. Legit i have stretch marks all over my lower back due to curves popping up within a year. I love the marks, makes me look like a humanoid zebra/tiger😊

The white ones actually do fade. It just depends on what you do and micro needling helps but what works better is the stamping needle device or getting a derma pen and stamping the stretch mark each one individually and putting a serum over it before and after your stamping and then also just going to a tattoo shop and having them do dry tattoo or ink less tattooing, and that works to get rid of them, you can also have them use pigments kind of like foundation to match your skin tone while they’re tattooing after that, they’re basically going to treat it as if it’s attached to you and put that project protective film covering over it and you keep that on for five days or week and then after that you take it off and you put some type of ointment on there and healing ointment. You can use a vitamin C, lotion, and HA, but any type of healing ointment would help like a tattoo ointment and apply it several times a day to that area at least 2 to 3 times a day

I tried laser and microneedling and dermaroller and all the creams and nothing works. As of right now the only way to remove them is by surgery... meaning they can lipo the area where the stretch mark are then lift therefore cut the skin where the stretch marks are in. So all this bs lotions and laser is just a waste of money

Bio Oil helped when I had fresh stretch marks from weight gain. Basically, soon as they appeared I started using the BO and it took those away. Whoever, it didn’t do a lot for my old stretch marks. I do use tretinoin and that helps, would be better if I was consistent.
