Yes! What else? I love "Malibu" by Hole and "6th Avenue Heartache" by the Wallflowers. The feels, you know?

They used a few of their songs on the German sitcom "My Life and Me" about this girl who's a bit like Daria and how she grows up. This song always reminds me of my teenage days, watching that show :).

lol I was looking at my old diary from middle school and I was writing about songs that were on the radio and I forgot all about this one! It took me a little while surprisingly to find it. (I just wrote what I thought were the lyrics haha) So happy I found this. Brings me back!

I actually saw Stretch Princess live in '98 at a music festival in Albuquerque, NM. The singer was wearing a Tigger t-shirt, and when we lined up for autographs after the show I said, "Tigger is so cool!" She reacted like I just said the most offensive thing she'd ever heard, waving her arms up and rolling her eyes. Struck me as very odd. Oh well.
@PrangeWay9 жыл бұрын
openskies11 She probably thought you were making fun of her. :( Tigger is indeed still cool.

this song appears in the Season 1 episode of The West Wing, "The White House Pro-Am," and I have -- literally -- been trying to find out the name of the track and artist for more than 12 years. Twelve. Years.

First of all, I'm super-happy for you. Second of all, I guess I will have to watch the West Wing! It's one of my favorite songs by any artist.

Im watching the episode now, and heard the song and it sounded familiar, so i googled exactly: the west wing, season 1 episode 17 soundtrack. A random website said 2 songs and the first one brought me here. I have songs out there i have in the deepest part of my memory, i hope i can find them one day, i miss them

Found out this song peaked at #27 on the Billboard Adult Top 40 on 8/7/1999, the same week the New Radicals' last hit "Someday We'll Know" peaked at #28.
@s.hocker922210 ай бұрын
I don't think this hit the alternative charts but it should have. Adult Top 40 back in the late 90s had a definite pop-alternative sound compared to what it is now.

@@s.hocker9222 It got close. I scanned some old radio magazines and it did get played by a bunch of alternative radio stations (Radio & Records reported 27 stations were playing it the week of 8/21/1998 with 323 spins). I think what happened is that they and Liz Phair cannibalized each other, as Liz had sent "Polyester Bride" to radio around the same time and there wasn't room for two female pop-alternative rock songs on the format.

Anybody have any info on why they broke up? Both their albums were really good. Sorry they didn't last longer.

Simple--lack of bandwidth. There are too many acts trying to get airplay and there are only so many hours in the day. It's always been that way; that's the biz. I heard this in Chicago and loved it; too bad they didn't get an encore on that station, but like I said, that's the biz. (Funny thing; "Since You've Been Gone" reminds me of this song when I hear it.)
@themacattack54010 ай бұрын
I remember Q101 and The Mix both playing it late at night. It never made it to day on either station.
