Our biggest thing is protective styles and I think that’s why her hair has grown so much lately is because we keep it braided up. The less you manipulate your hair the higher chance you have of retaining the length.

Yea cornrows and or 2 strand twists when I style her hair I pick styles that I know will last a week. Depending on your age though because I know I can’t walk around with cornrows on my self box braids would be a better option for me

LadyJustice I'm turning 15 so I don't mind but I love box braids too, But also I saw someone said to not touch your hair to much it will grow faster if you don't touch it much. Is that true?

Not touch as in not manipulate too much. That would be like styling it every single day. That really does work bc the more you style it... the more you comb it... the higher chance you have of breaking your ends and that stunts your hair growth. But again everyone’s hair is different 🙂

It takes 4 to 5 hours to do my daughter's hair it just does cuz it's that good thick and long and I braid & do hair fast & neat I'm not a slow hair braider tho.
