Strict parents won't let me move out | STORY TIME

Hey !! This is my first ever video and bruh I was nervous as hell.
I remember typing "my parents won't let me move out" into KZbin when I wanted to go uni to see if anyone else had been through it but no-one did :( so here's my story.

Jasmine Tatiana I legit felt that in my soul 😔 it’s hard but you gotta work through it !! You shouldn’t have to give up this big part of your life to make them comfortable because they’ll be even happier seeing you graduate with flying colours but they won’t think of that now, they can’t see past their protectiveness and that’s part of life for us unfortunately 🤣 💀

Girl make sure you have someone you REALLY trust that y can move n with . Don’t even tell them your moving . Just pack up. But first buy everything you need before u do . Or just pack what u have , while having a bit of money on u too

Youre so lucky. I applied today and my mum was with me to pay and i basically accepted that i have no choice but to only apply to local unis, and im so miserable about it. It sucks even more that she bought me a car last year for my 17th which i am grateful for but now shes using it as a way to bribe me to stay because of the financial sacrifice. I wish i could go to cardiff or birmingham but now im stuck at home for the next 3 years, it sucks even more that my older cousins and my mums friends kids all moved out for uni and most of them failed, dropped out, got too much into drinking... so now my mum thinks that its impossible to be responsible and move out, which i know i can be, very frustrating i just wanna cry at the way i feel so trapped

if you believe in yourself prove your mum wrong and come back with a degree and no drinking problems !! Mothers want to protect their daughters and I get it but sometimes doing what you need to do is important !

I just graduated. I wanted to go to uni 4 hours from my city with my Bf but my mom wanted me to stay close to them. I planned to run away but felt guilty and so stressed that i caved in and didnt go. im going to community college and now I feel like im missing out on so much already. Hopefully i can stick with my guts and transfer after this year.

Omgg this is what I needed. so my parents are narcissists they won't let me move out they would overreact if I bring up that topic but soon I'm gonna complete school and have to tell them that I wanna study psychology from my dream uni. hey girl follow your dream it is better to move out instead of living with narcissists I am in the same situation but I started high school I want to apply to my dream uni just like you (when the time for that came) and move out I want to experience life and have freedom and save place to stay and personal space you and I and all the others suffering fro. the same trauma we can all do it. trust and believe in that. if nobody told you that today I am incredibly proud of and I love you have a wonderful day

Literally about to start college in September(results haven't come out yet) and I'm really getting stressed out. I've applied to only 1 local college and the rest are like 3 hours away. I've gotten shut down so many times by my parents. I feel like every conversation is just me repeating myself. It's gotten to the point that I had to find out from other people that my parents are looking to move 3 hours away to those colleges that I mostly applied for so they can stay with me?! It's one thing being a Muslim girl but not being financially stable to move out is another thing. Loved the video btw💖💖

I moved out last year for university and it was hard at first my mum and nan was hard at first but after I told them I'm serious about this they said OK Met another somali girl there too who was living the same accommodation as me but different flats I think parents over care too much that why they do this they think what if something happens or what if meet wrong people going to bad places they worried too much I think arabs and other cultures women go through a lot of this in my accommodation they were hardly any Muslim girls apart from somali girl You said it right you do live your life your right I'm experiencing it myself but it was struggle at first but masha'allah it's great experience your video is well needed I hope when people do move focus and use that time by working hard and masha'allah you look beautiful Did you lived in student accommodation or private accommodation? Hey doll, this is some strong advice but I think you should just lie and say those other uni's haven't accepted you and chase your dreams. They might not approve but trust me if you see yourself building a career DO IT. Remember only to do it if you honestly see yourself building a future/ career with fashion. When you make money they won't complain and FURTHERMORE fashion is so much more versatile there's so much modest fashion going on and maybe you could show them the Abaya shows in Dubai and the modest fashion websites like modanisa that you could be working with so they can see the need for more people like you in the industry ! Are you trying to move out into a house in London or outside London? Cause that will make a huge difference. If you are leaving London for uni it is understandable and I feel like you’ll have to play it by ear on results day. Tell them it’s happening and if they accept it great if they don’t give it a week see if they calm down. If you are moving out into London (assuming you live in London btw) then it might be more complicated hun as if there isn’t an actual necessity to move out than it will be hard for them to accept :) I hope this helps pls DM me on insta if you want to talk more
