Dev, I swear we are connected. You almost always post a deck within three days of me perusing through my standard cards and going "hey, that would be pretty dope." Just yesterday, I thought of valduk, champion of the flame, and swiftblade vindicator as the baseline for an auras deck. Yeah, this is just a reskin of the mono blue aggro deck. 4x Herald guarantees 2nd turn draw engine quite regularly.

Seriously though, I was apprehensive enough about Stormtamer in here, as there are barely enough untapped blue sources on turn 1 to reliably cast it. MC Herald would virtually force us to have an untapped blue source on turn 1, and we can't consistently expect that (at least not until we get Hallowed Fountain)

Thanks for your great videos. I watch them all. Have you ever considered doing a brewers best practice video where you explain how you determine the number of 1, 2, 3, 4 (etc...) drops you need in a deck. I was really interested in your observation about needing 11 2 drops in your deck if you wanted a 2 drop by turn 2. Tips like that and how you build your best curve in a deck would be very helpful.

I don't think anyone says noh-vice knight. Not even SaffronOlive would go that far. This is a really interesting concept. With allegiance, we can try to make this 4 color to run Satyr Enchanter, red auras and blue auras. Don't forget On Serra's Wings when there's enough cards to build your Naya Historic deck. Making the creature it enchants Legendary can be occasionally relevant. "I know you work hard for your money" says the man that nearly always works harder than me.

Yeah, I guess you're right, but you'll gain so much more life advantage with a devotion on the adanto + other auras. Besides, going up to 3 mana for 2-4 copies of an aura that gives +1/+1 and lifelink PLUS an extra body doesn't seem bad.

Given that most of the auras are 1 or 2 mana, this may not be that helpful for this deck, but I play Danitha Capashen in my aura deck, and slap a Curator's Ward on her. My deck is casual, though, and so Curator's Ward is usually a lifesaver on cards like Bruna and Boonweaver Giant (decked out with Serra's Wings). It's another protection option to consider, as while the lack of Legendary creatures in this deck may make it less useful, the hexproof makes life much easier. I use Adamant Will for protection too but thanks to this video I'm swapping it out for Dive Down - I can't believe I missed a gem like that!

Run an izzet aura deck. Fun to play. Champion gets huge fast and then use thud lol. Alot easier to pull off for me with 2 colors instead of 3.
