I've got a pretty severe autoimmune disease that manifests along my entire GI tract and has scarred my intestines so badly that they've closed up in places and I'm stuck on morphine + liquids/NG tube. Mikey's channel is perfection for substitute eating and actually feeling like I can imagine what the taste and the texture and everything is with the recordings and that amazing description. I've made a whole 'dream list' from his videos of where I would visit and what I would eat if I ever got well enough to eat complex things😂 Thank you for all the effort and hard work you put into these videos, your enthusiasm is infectious and helps me maintain a positive relationship with food!♥️♥️

Crohn's Disease here, misdiagnosed until my colon ruptured, lost 3/4 but still got some guts! I've had to do TPN 3x, hook up to bag at night with nothing by mouth lasts 4-6 weeks. I would find these videos torturous during those times! I've got scar tissue and minor adhesions causing chronic pain from 13 surgeries to date. With Covid I've had a planned one on hold, in fact Mike Chen warned us about Covid February 2020 and I canceled surgery scheduled for early March 2020. Have you gotten vaccines? I had to fight for my 3rd. My GI told me I needed it as soon as approved since Moderna was at 60% after 2 shots. I fought with my Primary Doctor, they kept telling me booster wasn't approved. Finally asked my drug store and they gave it to me that day since they dispense my immunosuppressive meds they didn't need anything else. Good Luck to you! Mike definitely helps keep me stay positive and when guts acting up he does get my appetite going so I can eat a bit before it hurts too much!

You are right Mikey. When you make instant Jajangmyeon you pour out almost all the water except a few tablespoons before adding the sauce packs at the end. It should be saucy, not soupy or you didn't follow the directions correctly.

Yeah ours is tiny, they don't even have a deli. I think they're generally larger the further west you go in my experience. The exception being up in New York since there's a large Asian population there but otherwise H-marts are hard to find here and even when you do they are on the smaller side and just carry the essentials.

Hey Mikey just a quick tip for Korean instant noodles. Always use 30ml less than the recommended water amount and cook 1 min less. Based on 32 years of instant ramen knowledge and not a salty eater. It’ll change ur food life.

First of all, I just (last month) moved away from Fremont, California after living there for 13 years. It’s beautiful there! Second, Gomtang is my favorite soup… It is my go-to when I’m sick. Mild, gentle flavor, yet extremely delicious. I prefer the Samyang version, but I’ll try any brand of Gomtang. IT’S SO GOOD!

All H-Marts are not created equal. The ones you've shown us are stocked full of stuff. Ours, not so much. The food court is small, but all the vendors are really good. The prices have skyrocketed with all the shipping issues though. Love H-Mart!

I never thought our store would make it as a video, but still, how,--I’m at a loss for words, no one said anything, where was the commotion from a well known youtuber, why?!?!? Sorry, that there weren’t that many great shots of the meat selection, we try to keep it stocked to the best of our ability, but not as much during the weekday since the vast majority of sales is on the weekend and we wanted the meat to be as fresh as possible when presented to the customers, usually the marinated meats are the ones that are fully stocked week round. Anyways, going on a tangent, love your videos! Hope you can drop by our store again sometime in the future!

Having random amounts of people just showing up can be an issue for safety aswell as privacy. No store would want to end up with someone making their store a meet and great. Most of the videos are also not done a day or 2 ago. He does meet and greats at times but understandably he wont be doing that on his honeymoon.
