This is one of the first Psikyo shmup I played thanks to the old mobile port. There is this newer port that has UI from the arcade (the maker of that newer mobile port also made the steam port of most Psikyo shmups.) This game is extremely difficult, even on the easy difficulty. Players like you are absolutely amazing!

The PDX developer version is the easiest but the playback is nothing like the arcade. The Mobrix version is perfect arcade but the shot damage is too high and again you can only really use X-36. It's a pity that you have to unlock Hard difficulty to get 2nd loop. Easy is much closer to arcade feel and difficulty but only 8 stages.

Nice. Honestly Psikyo usually isn't my cup of tea, but I've enjoyed the ones I've played. I've got some meager 1-ALL's in Gunbird 2 and Dragon Blaze but I haven't played them really serious like I did with S99 as that was for a tourney.

So glad that this was released on Android. While it does have microtransactions, it's not gamebreaking as you can still acquire everything if you play enough.

Haven't played this game since 2001 when i was stationed in Japan while in the Air Force. My best score is 2.35 million and it was a 1cc clear. By the way, what other Psikyo games have you played?

Chaos Queen (the hornet final boss) really made me rage quit because I couldn't dodge her attacks without dying and using bombs especially in her second form that has a small tumor popping out shooting many bullets.

Striker's 1999 mobile/smartphone port under S&C ent publisher was the best playable version. But after multiple updates, the game is sh*t now and too many ads. The Mobirix version is better but too hard for 2CC play. 1CC is barely doable on Normal but you have to unlock hard difficulty for 2CC. Screen scrolling and attacks are too fast and needs updating from Mobirix publisher

After getting the one on the IOS/Android, I'm not sure which plane would fit me the best. I know that I rarely use the Charge Shot, just about always use the Bombs defensively, (I think that it means that I mostly use it to neutralize the bullets/shots?) & rely on my plane's own weapons & Sub Weapons for damage

Looks like the enemy in this game STILL has no respect for the time line of war. Always hiding their advanced robots inside war vehicles (I wonder if they had to kill the original pilots and crew first?). Strikers Team, they have gone too far this time. Teach them a lesson by destroying their mecha and show them the hard way that even in this alternate 1999, warfare SHOULDN'T BE F*CKED WITH!

What does a 'Technical bonus' mean?

Technical Bonus is a bonus that you can get when you defeated a boss by shooting it's core. Bosses expect the final boss show the blue core once. You have to be very close to the core to be able to destroy the boss instantly and get a technical bonus. It is present in Strikers 1999 and Dragon Blaze.

I know what techincal is, but how can yoy do ut like alomst everytime? I use a bomb when boss shows blue orb but is too late when i shooting the orb

Firdaus Ahmad Tajuddin Regular shot, I know because I played the MAME and Android version, whilst the latter was easier by lesser bullets, it's hard from its touchscreen movement. Apparently the 1st Loop is equal to Pro, and Master is 2nd Loop Android's equivalent.

Also, what's exactly so hard about Geo Bite? I found Cross Blade to be just as much of a pain, but I'm not exactly what you call a god at shmups. Yet I hear of countless horror stories about that killer satellite.

The Ugly Barnacle Geo Bite is a massive laser spammer on the second form unlike Cross Blade's first form where it only shoot the laser one time when it feels like it. Geo Bite also spams a huge starburst of very fast bullets that is extremely hard to avoid, unless if you have more bombs at your disposal. To avoid fighting Geo Bite, make sure your plane is positioned on the center pod before the boss in Stage 6.

+Jae Hong (Crestaph) I played this game on my smartphone. And that instant hit laser @ 24:20 and 24:30 might make you reconsider. IIRC at least Touhou doesn't have those instant hit lasers.
