Striking a 4K HMI Crash Course

On today's crash course we are going over how to strike a 4K HMI with a Honda 7000 generator.
Summary.
The 4K was run with a 220V 4 pin twist lock to 60 amp bates adapter (you can get your generator modded to take 60 amp bates directly). When running a 4K HMI at 220V it only pulls 18 amps VS if you ran it at 120V it would pull 33 amps (which would flip the native 30 amp breaker build into stock Honda 7K models.
Always start with your ballast turned off until everything is patched in and you are ready to strike the light.
Some key notes to remember is to always bring the scrims and barndoors (and lenses when applicable) when using any HMI.

Century Equipment "back in the day" is correct. Back in the day the c-stand base only used w/o risers was called a turtle. When passing a stand to an LA IA grip always hold the stand by both the arm and riser. If you hold only the riser they will grab the stand wrapping their paw around both the arm and riser and smuggly mash your fingers remarking, "Must be a local and not a professional!"
