We can pump water directly to our spring and right into our Rv! That's right! We found a temporary solution for holding water down at our spring and pumping water up the hill into our main cistern. From there we pump it into our RV. This temporary solution will hold us off through the summer until we can get a more permanent solution in place.
We also prep our garden for planting and get some vegetables in the ground.
Thank you for watching and supporting our channel!

The start and ending of natural beauty is a reminder of why you are there in the first place. You show your successes and processes but the reality of just how much hard work is involved will never be actualized in a video. I commend you on your daily hard work and problem solving skills. But the most beautiful of all is that you are so well suited to work, play, support, and love together. A rare sample of what a real relationship is supposed to be about.

Could you dig out some of the ground so that it would be level & you could put your water container on the pallet? So NICE that you have a spring on your property giving you GOOD water!! Your property is GORGEOUS!! 😍

A tip for working with that plastic tubing…if you have access to some sand, fill the section of tubing you are working with the sand. Temporarily cap the ends, then when you put the heat to it you should be able to bend the tubing without the risk of kinking.

One huge tip, make a portable soil screen. Its excellent for mixing and separating clumps, roots, rocks and ect. It literally becomes an above ground sifter mixer. Best thing I have used for compost/dirt. Just move and scoop whatever, however - by hand or bucket skidsteer/tractor. I do this every year and its a huge time saver.

Guys can you dig out the ground about 6 inches deep lay gravel then set the pallet on the gravel so it's still ground level and then sit the tank on top of the pallet ? This would allow you to still keep the tank from sitting on the ground itself. Just a thought 🤔 💭 i had. Man that spring water 💦 looks cold 🥶 and delicious 😋

Great work!!! Your garden is looking great! Isn't it fun to finally get your hands in the dirt. We live in the Peninsula of WI. Our temps have been upper 50's and 40's at night till last week of May. Finally 60s! I planted just 2 days ago. 60's and a couple days of 70 in next 10 days, 50's at night. New garden, new area to grow. So this first year will be a surprise. BUT gardening is awesome!!! I hope your garden grows alot of food for this winter. I love your channel!!!

First visit for me and y’all have got me hooked. Wow, I hope you never change!!! I adore the respect you have for each other and I hope you never disappoint me. At first, before you told us your story, I was thinking ( you/her) was the perfect daughter every father hopes to have and then you informed us you were a couple ❤! However I still think you (her) are the perfect woman …your honesty and sincerity oozes all over you. Good luck to you both. Question for you both … with just the two of you, how do you manage such impeccable videos? One would almost suspect you had a videographer. Thanks.😂

Thank you for sharing your journey on youtube. We are 66 years young. Our neighbor has purchased land on the kenai peninsula and will be moving there in 2025. We have dwarf Nigerian goats so we enjoyed those videos so much. We also grow our own food. We Cut and milled logs ourselves to built our own house. So your channel is very interesting to us. We do not subscribe to many channels but we want to support your channel. We wish you the best.. Just a tip on fencing that works here in North Arkansas. It may or not work there. To save the very expensive field fence from rusting being next to the ground we place 2 runs of barred wire between the ground and the field fence about 1 inch apart.. It works here. Thank you again, kenny

Hi a tip for growing the peas if you get some kitchen roll soak it squeeze the excess out wrap the peas in it keep it moist and the peas will sprout 🌱 then you can plant them out guaranteed 100° germination and speeds the growing time up I hope this helps same with your other beans

Yes, the * average temp can vary between 46 degrees to 65 degrees, however summer time it definitely gets up to 80 defrees and hotter in Alaska, even in Kenai. Been there too, been from ine end to the other in AK, for 5 years I spent time there, and every season. Your garden looks really good, glad you went with a tall fence around it. Id install loud battery alarms or bells on your fencing, the bears, mtn lions comminly seen every year there, the, lynx - native there, and a occasional jaquar will go right over a tall fence, and theyll dig under too in AK. LOOKING GREAT!

I didn't notice one in your video, but if you haven't installed an anti-backflow valve on your waterline you might want to. It just keeps your long run of pipe from emptying itself every time you shut the pump off, and then having to refill all of that pipe when turned on. Your videos are so great. Just a couple working towards a common goal with no typical KZbin BS and drama. A great life in Alaska is ahead of you.

You could reassess the ramp pump situation if you make a small one specifically around the low flow pumping to tank as high as you can get them potentially flowing out of that tank when you turn the valve to the final one seems a bit complicated but would effectively work to fill the tank up for very little cost

Hi Kate and Chris, I'm enjoying your Alaska build very much. As a retired pipefitter w/30+years experience I just would like to bring to your attention that for potable water cpvc was the only rigid plastic pipe allowed and it looks to me that you may be using pvc. Don't want to second guess or scare you but you might want to check into that.

When applying mesh screens around a pipe or anything in your case can do it more like a lose sock shape and then tie it down around the pipe. That way you significantly increase the mesh capacity in case large amounts of sediment comes and clogs it.
