Love the burros tail, but it’s way too easy for the leaves to fall off 🤣I swear if I look at it wrong it’s sheds those cute little plump leaves. The hearts, variegated, spade or green version are easy as I water them as I do my succulents and keep them in very bright, with a little direct, especially for the variegated , sun. The pitcher idea is adorable I need to try that.Great video as always Carmen 💚🙌 string of dolphins 😩😏😂

Love your shirt! I have strings of pearls, hearts and spades or heartless vine. I kept them all in the small nursery pot prob 3-4”. Do you think i need to repot? They are all doing good. But getting a bit bald on top and i will take care of that this spring. I have a burros tail and i want to repot it so bad but gee is it delicate.
@carmenwhitehead3 жыл бұрын
These plants don't have a big root system, so putting them in too big of a pot may do more harm. I would wait till you see roots coming out the bottom holes.

I have a string of Jelly Beans I think thats what it was labeled, it had nice plump beans now it has lost most and are now little tiny ones, well its not dead yet, come spring I'll repot in better mix and hope for the best. lol

I think it may be lack of bright light. I think that's why my string of pearls are little pearls now. Hopefully in the Spring with better lighting it will have bigger beads. Thanks for stopping by Rhonda! 😊🌱🌵

Hi Carmen, the reason the dolphins flatten their leaves is because they are not getting enough of light. They flatten their leaves in order to get as much sun exposure as they can. Liz
@kareng28033 жыл бұрын
Elizabeth what about when there coming in small?
@elizabethcarlson36343 жыл бұрын

When you add strands back into the pot, how do you do it? Do you use a tool to make a hole for each one, or do you scoop out dirt, lay them in there, and cover them? I am having trouble with this
@carmenwhitehead3 жыл бұрын
I do scoop out the soil in the area I want to put the new growth. I tend to hold them together, place them in the hole and add soil. I do water the pot immediately to help the new growth acclimate.
@OLadyO3 жыл бұрын
I might start giving them distilled water. I've been using tap water that sits at least 24 his to get rid of the chlorine. Haven't fertilized my string of: Hearts Heartless Bananas Dolphins Pearls (which I'm praying for a miracle for them to survive & restart growing)
