I used to be the same way, but you can pour the unused back into the bottle. Don’t let the fear of waste stop you from doing something that can possibly spark joy and creativity. Go for it!

Fantastic colour selection and mirror image effect. It's so bleeding hard to get one string down where you want it but you knocked 6 out of the park. I love how the gold has a ghost like shadow against the White.👏🏻🙌🏻👍

I can’t draw a straight line, but I know I can do this. Only wish artist has written tool names, board size, etc. Makes it easy to buy right supplies for us non-artistes just starting out . Tks much for sharing!

I've seen the same effect created by people using epoxy. They use isopropyl alcohol to create the effect.

I can’t get anything to happen. The paint won’t drag this long. What type of string did you use? Was it heavy? Do you have to water down the paint? Do you have to paint the base or can you use a white paper background?

I think you'll need to use a medium to low viscosity acrylic paint, and you might want to add a flow aid/enhancer/improver to help the paint flow better (especially if you're using a higher viscosity paint)!!
