Fragrans revolves entirely around her team, which if you don't play with a set squad is not something you can control. You have to play pretty much entirely around randoms which is a huge factor you cannot control. At least with Kokona and Celestia you can focus on a single ally and even then it's for a very short time, with Fragrans however you have to split your focus on as much of the group as possible. I think as time moves on your chances of seeing Fragrans at the top 500 will only be less and less as Rule 6 makes it so Singularity and Superstring ranks can only play as a solo or a duo.Making it even harder to use Fragrans.

i think despite being placed quite low, reichii can still be considered at least A if not S tier. his gun is incredible strong especially in the early game and also if you buy the headshot upgrade and his see-through wall is one of the strongest utilities in the game. if you look at high elo games there's almost always a reichii on attacker side

Reichii is 100% underrated. if you combo him with a team that prioritizes intel smokes and tattle tell or konami Q or lawine dagger well placed walls can let the team destroy. and once you have the awakening its just busted, on average i get mvp and 25 + kills with reichii in tdm and arena this is around the same amount with Audrey when abusing her turret so his damage is crazy good also his gun is always accurate unlike konah and konami where you have to wait for ads to shoot.

Two inter-related nuances you are missing: Firstly, ranked ladder is likely filled with solo or duo queues, with only some trio queues. As other comments have pointed out, in Solo queue coordination with your team is not guaranteed. Even if you play controllers and lock down sites and maps on your own, if you get no follow up from the team you've wasted your cooldowns and no progress in the round is made - especially since you are less likely to win multiple gunfights as a controller due to how their kit works. Meanwhile, holding W key as a good duelist will let you take space and it might actually convince otherwise unaware players to follow you in and help lock down sites. Secondly, the game has barely been out for a month, meaning the top leaderboards right now are exclusively very experienced players who don't want to deal with any of the shit from the first point. Because general game-knowledge and coordination is so low, the best way to fly up the rank ladder right now is for these guys to exploit poor coordination and take good duels left right centre behind in-front. They have no need for control when the lack of map awareness from the enemy is the strongest control, so they can just hold W key and frag. As people start learning the game and general coordination and knowledge amongst the player base increases, you'll start to see more controllers like Reichii and Meredith be top picks. For now we have to tolerate that global players are going to be Fuschia-andys.

I predict this game will have a similar trend to Valorant where after year 1 or 2 you will see the most disgusting Meredith and Reiichi plays to put them up the popularity list, tech that CBT players have and will get adapted as commonplace, or new tech gets discovered even. That or we may just see the El classico dev intervention of buff and nerf agents here and there, but I'm not sure about that for Strinova.

@@cannedcoal3500 True, I've seen a Chinese video where a guy shows spots to abuse with Meredith, using the ability to fly high and hover in the air to look over walls and get nastyyy kills. Meanwhile I've never seen Meredith's in my games abuse her tech in a truly impressive way.

Point gain depends on damage dealt, that's why you see players prioritize duelists.

2:52 I never thought about going through that gap...every time I play TDM I learn something new about the maps that remind me that small holes are not am accident but a feature. 😅 Also, unless you are sure her ability is slowing you, always make sure to finish off Fuschia when she's downed, or reposition! Reminder you have 2 weapons (this is mostly advice for bottom tier, honestly, but it's easy to forget about the secondary weapon.)

On the Chinese server, they release the most used characters per tier of rank (top ranks mid ranks and bottom ranks) with their use rate and win rate. In the top ranks, for attack 1, ming, 97.7% (she always held that position, never losing market share to anyone) 2, Lawine 93.2% (same boat as ming) 3, reiichi 45.9% For defense 1, Michele 92.3% (same boat as ming, even after her nerfs she never lost market share) 2, baimo 61% (might change as there is an upcoming baimo nerf) 3. Flavia 53.7 This also isn't a perfect way, but we can see what generally more skilled player choses in their matches. As you can see some of the characters might need a rebalance. Characters like xinghui (Celestia) has already been nerfed, she used to be in the same state as ming or Mich today, but got nerfed hard. More balance is still needed though, some of the characters are super unused.

I think ming could use balancing, but the problem with michele is that no character really could replace her right now as she is the only character that can reveal in defense (fuschia scan does not reveal to team). I'm not sure what can they do to change michele since adding more character with similar kit to michele would just mean there will be 2 reveal character in defense

@dragonarc_gaming I remember the devs tried to rebalance ming, but it didn't exactly work as the rebalance was relatively small. Also Mich isn't the only character that can reveal, but she is the only character that can reveal at a range for defense (Nobu can only reveal within his pylons, although he's still hella useful against a Meredith)

​@@dragonarc_gaming nobunaga guardian eye also has reveal in the area though. also on defense. I dont think the reveal is the only factor here. but i guess the problem with nobunaga is that he gets that way later than michelle. (michelle mostly round 2-3), (nobu might take up to 5-7)

@@Minedeployder my guess is the simple fact that she is relatively selfish. Her scans don't reveal to the team, so her utility on attack is limited at best (with stuff like lawine and kanami). However on defense, as there isn't really anyone that can reveal, she is the 4th most used character, right behind Flavia with 53.2 percent pick rate, she is a pretty good duelist for defense.

it should be noted that not everyone can play duelist on attack a lot of people might main ming and fuchsia, but you'll still have to flex onto other things on attack

Yvette is stupidly underrated. With Fay you have the abilty to put down a 600 health shield you can shoot through, recon the map safely, freeze area's for favorable gunfights, (if unlocked) use your snowballs for huge chip damage (with again freeze) and on top of that the smg is the 2nd best close range gun after Eika's/Bai mo's shotguns.

She's one of my favourite's to play but I find it's very easy to have bad rounds with her. Say you're on Cauchy Street watching A site, then the enemy team rushes C site, and by the time you rotate you don't have time to throw out the bear and control it, so you end up not using your ability at all. This happens to me all the time; there are also times where the enemy team attacks your site, you use the bear to put ice everywhere, and then they just... back off and wait, or rotate to another site. It seems it's often very hard to get value out of her ability compared to some of the other agents, like Flavia or Kokona who have many opportunities to use their abilities during a round (and their passives aren't trash like Yvette's). With that said, she's FILTHY on Escort, having only one objective lets her always ice the one place enemies want to be, and you can play around both the bear and cart as cover when you get aggressive, super strong.

Tbh I think that Fuschia, as players get more and more experienced will get alot more value,especialy in CQC maps as people will begin to use characters that deploy smokes such as reichi or meridith

I really wish this game had RWS stats from counterstrike. Right now damage is the most important stat for ranking, so players will naturally gravitate towards duelists that let them win their fights. RWS in comparison only awards points based on if you win the round. So if someone baits their team to get kills is less valuable than someone who does actions that win the round or clutches.

When it comes to sentinels I think Audrey could be a better pick depending on a map but I can understand michele same goes with Kokona > Fragrans depending if you play with a squad and rotate a lot You didnt mention controllers and I think its fair because each of them have different value and are dependant on maps again

I like how Fragrans role is also Fragrans. Someone else already answered why she is not picked as much, be it her weapon, being team reliant or what not. I can tell you why she is not as popular as Celestia (for now) amd that is probably because of the tram reliance. She has a passive heal, which if I'm not misremembering becomes her ultimate (along with the other passives from her skill, which are great) but at the cost of not being able to do anything excdpt maybe give vision on the minimap. She is strong but not for herself, especially since someone mentioned her gun is not that great. I'll choose to take their word for now. The team becomes stronger thanks to her, in a sense her skill is a moving version of Nobunaga' . Celestia passively restores armor for herself and allies nearby, so all you have to do is be close to someone else which will happen most games. Her skill boosts armor fof an ally and herself and you can stack that armor. It depletes over time but in other words you are also helping yourself live longer. Finally, her Ult is a free teleport, you can give one ally immense armor and you can cancel it or it can be cancelled if said ally dies it seems. If anything Celestia and Fragrans on the same team would be quite good, with Celestia also being the beginner friendly option (although that probably doesn't affect player preference in high ranks). She's just good to carry or help carry.

It's not Law-wine it's La-wi-neh Honestly surprised Madde isn't played more, having infinite smoke seems so insane. Also the methodology is kinda flawed since we have side-exclusive agents. Fuchsia probably won't place that high if she wasn't playable on both sides, but the other 4s are all side-exclusives so I guess it didn't really matter.

Fragrans is simply a low impact character. While her fire rate buffs can be very good, due to the nature of her kit is typically not the most game changing. You wanna mostly use it while having teammates around, but while having teammates around your gun fights are gonna be advantageous for you anyways. In huge gun fights revolving multiple players of both teams, I think there are other things that will have more impact on those *typically*. Her speed boost is kinda... whatever. Her ult denies her ability to shoot. At best you can recon with third person to comm with your team. In this game, man advantage is really big, and while yes you are buffing your team... you are also reducing your man advantage. Her passive is very slow. If you're looking for a support that will bring good defensive utility, Kokona with awaken 3 and Celestia will do a much better job at giving you an edge in gun fights. Or even after them.

im proton 2 at apac and the best players i encounter are not all in the leaderboard, they are chinese bai mo / fuschia smurfs, one in top 5 is having avg 2.2 kd with 330 dmg while being top 5, and if u play duelist / sniper u gain more points because of the damage dealt, i played cn server theres alot of reichi maddelena players there who are crazy on headshots. In my experience bai mo /fuschia is the best solo carry agent in ranked if u really good on it. Ming/michele inflates ur dmg dealt per game leading to more pts gained. Idk bro when i spectate his bai mo enemies look like bots on training range. The leaderboard ( for APAC) isnt everything. I once matched with 2 ppl on top 10 and got shit on by random smurf bai mo atom rank lol

There's a lot of people who are skilled but just don't grind enough to show up in the leaderboards. It's not exclusive to Strinova either, that stuff happens in most games. Some players are just more talented but lack the free time or commitment to ranked. Specially on asian countries where the pressure on students and young adults is huge and they don't have a lot of time to dedicate to ranking up.

I think the tier list for global, r more skewered towards DPS because u can't 100% rely on your teammates when solo matchmaking or playing with just 1-2 friends. If u play with equally good teammates n using voice chat, reichi should be at least in top 5.

while Kokona has undeniably one of the strongest kit in the game for a support, snipers in general are insanely hard to pilot, and by hard i mean the ability to headshot instantly when enemy peeks you, so her statistic only applicable to high rank, especially top 100 on the rank leaderboard, i dont recommend new players testing her in demolition regardless normal or ranked demolition

On lower ranks you probably have to run from any mid-range fights that could end up with a missed shot leading to the enemy reaching you. So you just rely on your allies distracting and hopefully land some shots. Not the best usage of her kit but it's not impossible for the less skilled to pilot her well enough. Although any other type of weapon is likely easier to do well regardless.

Fragrans rifle is really just a worse version of Michele's rifle. You are going to lose a lot of gunfights as her. Add to that her skill being a firerate buff for a small area which means she needs to stick close and have her entire team stick close, means she isn't very versatile and becomes very predictable for the enemy team. She is significantly better on Escort than Demo.

i am not 100% sure but i think the meta right now for high elo is more based around fighting that bomb oriented, and they dont depend on the bomb for the win, i personally love Meredith for how easily u can plant the bomb and defend it or atleast stall enought so they dont have time to defuse

Most notably, the reason for this is the high mobility in this game means defenders will pretty much always rotate by the time attackers are able to plant. And then that means that spending the time to plant puts your team at a numbers disadvantage in the fight, so its usually better to just fight the rotators as a team than to actually plant.

Nah nah man... WYM kokona has 1 shot sniper rifle. She cant 1 shot enemies in full charge even just Use light armor unless Headshot. Exiting out of paper mode leaves the opponent at a slight delay before they can fire again which is perfect for snipers as they can just wait for them to exit paper mode while aiming for the head and just pull the trigger before the opponent can retaliate

If you stay long in paper mode snipers can chunk good damage on you as well, you just haven't fought a good sniper.

snipers really depend on your aim. When they keep hitting good shots you would say sniper is so strong, but when they keep whiffing you would say sniper is a troll pick. The skill cap is really huge (also kokona heal drone is pretty good so it justified the pick)

Both of what y’all are saying sounds good on text buts that’s not the case at all. Paper mode is the most strongest mechanic in game. Your hit box become thin asf. In no way are snipers going to consistently land shots when someone is in paper. If you try to wait till someone leaves paper you’re gonna get pushed by his teammates. The only reason snipers are doing well is cause people are new and don’t understand the game yet. This is just paper mode alone I didn’t even include util (smokes , wind nades etc) or strafe jumping.
