I hit diamond in twos and threes and k swear to you it’s harder to get out of plat then it is to stay in diamond. Diamond 1 games are much easier because all these hard stuck plats sit in free play all day learning mechanics or they get annoyed with the fact they can’t win and just ball chase

I have better mechanics than some golds but they may be better at positioning and boost management than me yet we are in the same rank because we are skilled in different areas. I agree with that, mechanics are almost irrelevant until, high champ if not higher, even in c3 I almost never see mechanics, besides ofc the basics, speed flips, half flips?, wave dash, flicks, even flicks are rare though, what matters is boost management, speed, rotation, etc. And well… unfortunately how well you can ball chase seems to be the way to win, which I absolutely hate since it’s the most boring crappy way to play the game imo, more fun to actually do mechanics or go for nice shots, then you get 3 people pre jumping the second you even turn towards the wall lmao

The thing I dislike about this is… these ranks are in 3’s for some people. I know I am diamond 1 in three’s but that gold showed more dribbling skill and flip reset potential than I ever will. But my positioning and rotation means that u can make up for that by being in the right place at the right time to take easy saves and open net shots to the W.

I think why a lot of people think they deserve a higher rank is because they feel they have better mechanics than certain players in that rank, which in some cases they do. The thing holding them back most likely is the mental game. Things like strategy, taking blame for your own faults and not giving up at the first sign of defeat.

It's definitely the mental game for me. I can hold my own in a GC2 lobby when playing with friends, but I can't solo queue to GC. If I see mate go for a single flip kickoff in C3 or boost grab when I'm forcing the ball over then that game is immediately over for me. I can't stand nonsense like that and can't recover from it. I'm the personification of the "Okay." quick chat.

Yo Striped, I actually got a pretty good idea for a video. Not entirely sure if this will make sense because I’m tired but hopefully it does, you should get someone with not many hours played, they’re stuck in a rank and think they should be in a much higher rank but in reality they’re facing someone the same rank as them who has hit a higher rank than them with a lot more hours played or even the other way around would be a great idea, where the person with a lot of hours played goes up against someone with less hours played but they’re in the rank they wanna be in.
