I had purple in my hair over summer break (my school doesn't allow unnatural hair colouring) and I bleached it. it turned it white, blonde and pink.

Kristen Leanne Have you heard of the bleach oil method? Basically you mix bleach powder (no developer) with some clarifying shampoo, and some coconut and olive oil. You apply it to your hair that has been soaked in coconut oil. After about 10 minutes, you rinse it out. It's sort of like a really really mild bleach bath. Without the developer, it's not damaging the hair. After 3 rounds of this stuff, I removed a dark turquoise and went to platinum blond.
@audrheiii
@audrheiii 9 жыл бұрын
Spider The powder is actually what damages the hair, not the developer. With this "Bleach Oil Method", you are taking a strong chemical that basically roughs up your cuticle to open it up and release the color, adding a shampoo that has a higher pH than most that strips away dirt, sweat, product buildup, and subsequently color. And adding oil. Which, on it's own would be good for your hair.

If you use any sort of anti-dandruff shampoo with the vit C, it will crank up the effect of stripping. I also mix up vit c and anti-dandruff and apply it to wet hair and let it sit for a few hours and that's pretty effective :)

Just a quick tip! You'd be better off using vitamin C powder because it dissolves better in the shampoo and stops it from frothing, particularly because the froth is orange it can leave orange tones in the hair (learnt from personal experience) I would also apply all these things to towel dried hair because the heat from the scalp opens up hair folicals and makes colour easier to apply and take away. Love your vids babes xx

You can remove semi-permanent color much easier by using a diluter mixed with ten volume developer. An example would be to mix equal parts Schwarzkopf Igora D-0 with 10 vol. Quick, easy, and no damage.

Very good and informative video I like how you use multiple steps to remove the remaining color and try not to damage the hair so much. I personally had some troubles with getting the right hair tone that I aspired due to leftover color and I refuse to bleach it again for 100% because of the damage. The only thing I wonder about is: how your regrowth matches your stripped hair? I have a very warm regrowth that is always allot more yellow toned than the hair beneath because of my purple color it becomes a more ash blonde... any tips on that as wel?
