Boom Mat and Dynamat are good but pricey. I used Frostking duct insulation from Lowes, applied to floor, inside the outer door skin, the inner door frame, inside the plastic door panel and behind rear seat. Super quiet insideno compared to when I bought the truck. Temu sells a similar thermal acoustic material that is even less. The trick to adhesion was to clean the surface throughly, final step with acetone or alcohol and use small roller to press in place. Merry Christmas to all!

The c30 is the real rusty one. The r30 is good except on the drivers corner. I think that i can cut that from the c30. In my next video, i will show that. You really be watching. Thanks, that inspired me

Looks like you were blessed with a parts truck that has just what you need. I would use everything on the 87 and not be concerned about it being (correct). I would even find a way to put those good bumpers on there with the 87 front end. I would ride those seats just like they are; fine seats yes sir.

1980 was the first year for square shape headlights on Chevy & GMC fullsize pickups & SUVs, & was also the last year for round shape headlights. The square shape headlights came standard on models with the Silverado & Sierra Classic trim levels & optional on models with the other trim levels. 1980 was also the last year for the nose on the front, bodyside molding trim, emblems, & interior with those designs, & outside hood release.

@builtonabudget6767 those generation GMC & Chevy fullsize pickups, SUVs, & medium duty series models which are the bigger size trucks with the same cab design but with a smaller size rear window were produced from 1973 - 1991 except the plain cab pickups "half ton & three quarter ton models only" were finished in 1987, & the one ton plain cab pickups & plain cab medium duty series models were finished in 1989. 1989 was also the last year for three quarter ton crew cab pickups. Believe it or not, the medium duty series models with school bus bodies weren't produced until 1985 because buses with the previous 1967 - 1972 nose design on the front were still in production up through 1984. SUVs, one ton crew cab pickups, & medium duty series models with bus bodies were the only models that were in production up through 1991.

@@builtonabudget6767also that C30 is actually a C35 because it's a GMC. Although Chevy C30s & GMC C35s are the same, but just different names. 1980 was the last year for the C & K 15, 25, & 35 models. In 1981, the GMC series names were changed to C & K 1500, 2500, & 3500. Chevy's series names on the other hand stayed the same.

Built working hard out in the cold! Much respect. Those C-30 seats definitely look better. If not too worn, would it be worth trying to clean them first to see how they turn out? Might save time & $.

If it were me, and you like the 87 front end, put the 87 clip on the good cab. It'll save you a lot of time and money cutting the metal and swapping everything over. This is just my opinion. Oh and I'd call her Big Bertha. This is your boy from KY sayin.... PEACE!!!!
