Strobes do not have variable colour temperatures. A strobe can have a bit of colour tempurature variation between high powers and low powers, but it will always be close to daylight. Colour correction gels are one option, though they can be clumsy to use with certain modifiers.

Great walkthrough! The beep sound when adjusting power is annoying, but great that it can turns off. But I want to keep the signal when flash is ready again after exposure, is that possible?

I have QT600IIIM and X2T-S. The problem with QT600IIIM is. Every time I set the mode into Manual w/ HSS, right after I turn the QT600IIIM off, it went back to Manual mode only (without HSS, the icon of HSS disappear from the flash LCD). I have tried to make the HSS icon appear using wireless trigger X2T-S but I have no luck. Is there any way to activate HSS in the flash unit without having to physically touch the “mode” button on the flash unit itself? My setup requires the QT600IIIM placed on high rise C stand. So I can not physically touch the button on the flash. Do you have any solution? For “professional” and “flagship” flash product, it’s quite frustrating if I have to physically touch the “mode” button to activate HSS.

Hello. I would like to use this for product photography, speed is not important to me. Is there any difference in color quality between this and the AD1200 Pro? Would you recommend one over the other?

Hi Norbert, When used in its colour stability mode, you should not see any appreciable quality differences between this unit and the AD1200 Pro. I would recommend the AD1200 Pro if you are looking for a battery option. If you will always have wall power, then save some money and go for the QT1200iii.

Hello! I believe when you are in speed mode, there’s a temperature shift. Is the temperature consistent when you are shooting in burst mode or it still fluctuates between the burst? Thanks!

Hi Pol, The colour temperature shift is tied to the power you are using. So if your whole burst uses the same power level, there won't be any fluctuation. The manual has a detailed graph that shows the expected colour shift at each power.

May I kindly ask anyone here or STROBEPRO here, for a strode like this, if i shoot with 1/1 power, and then the next photo, I dialed it down to 1/256 power (or any lower power), the strode won't work ? until I pressed the TEST button? Is it what you did at 14:44 ? And What happened if I didnt press the Test button and carry on shooting at 1/256 power? Thank you

Hi @chanmark1527, You only need to hit the test button if you are using the strobe in its colour stability mode. If you do not have the colour stability mode enabled, the strobe will dump power internally, and fire at whichever setting is selected. The downside is that you might notice more variance in the strobe's colour temperature. If you want to keep the strobe in its colour stability mode, and you dial it up to 1/1 before dialing down to 1/256, your first flash will be at 1/1. Any subsequent flashes will be at 1/256 until you dial the power up again. Think of it like a measuring cup that can be filled to any line, but it needs to be poured out completely before it can be filled again. If you have any other questions, just let us know!

Is it possible to set the power in a scale from 1 to 10 intsead of the more complicated 1/128 +0.6 for example? I have the AD1200 and you can change that through the menu. Thanks!

In this case, you'd be looking for function 6 in the menu ( 37:36 ). You can also switch your controllers to the decimal scale through the "STEP" function. Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks a lot! The default way of displaying power feels awkward to me. Just a matter of preference but when I shoot bottles of wine in studio, I mostly repeat a sequence of power settings and I feel much easier to remember "7.4" vs "1/16 +8" as an example. @@user-tx4ni4fk4p You might make some coverts when you put it that way! The math of stops might be a little easier with the decimal system too. Adding 1 +1/3 stops to 1/32 + 0.7 VS adding 1.3 to 5.7. The latter is probably more intuitive for most people.
