How a stroke patient made remarkable improvements from a concussion treatment. Chris Black is a lawyer who has traveled the world for his work and for life. After a grim discovery from his doctor of the discovery of a growing Cavernoma growth, a quick decision was made to do surgery that lead to a stroke.
Cognitive FX is a concussion clinic using fMRI technology to guide treatment with amazing results. With over 10 years of research, the fMRI scan that Cognitive FX has developed shows areas in the brain that are dysfunctional and that need therapy to regulate. This treatment has helped all kinds of mild traumatic brain injury patients find help, healing, and recovery when they thought it was not possible.

Had a stroke last year July 31st Milk stroke 3rd week of august Pulmonary embolism 3 weeks after that... All from surgeries on my kidney. I have chronic kidney stones since 2001. I was on a jobsite talking to the customer and one of my employees when I dropped to the ground. Luckily my employee knows the stroke.signs and she took me to the fire station down the street. They took me by helicopter to the hospital and they removed the clot from my left side of my brain in 3 pieces. Last thing I really remember is falling down at the jobsite. I have a wonderful girlfriend that understands I'm not the same as I was. We will be getting married next month. I figured if she can stand putting up.with me and my medical issues then she is the one to keep. But I'm struggling to pay bills and my insurance dropped me so I'm not on any medications now. Can't afford.600.00 a month for perscriptions. 2 weeks of rehab (pt) and that was all insurance would pay for. Now 10 months later my skin doesn't feel like its.mine, Right hand wants to ball up and I'm dragging my.right foot.a.little bit. I trip over the smallest thing. Cant.remember short term things. But can remember long term memories. I get confused alot still and emotions go crazy at times. Like watching a movie and if a sad part comes on I start to cry. Never been like that before. Can't work because I cant.remember what im.supposed to do... I own my own remodel company.... So havent.worked.pretty much for 10 months. My taste buds are coming back though... When I got out of the hospital I opened.a.can of tuna fish.and tried to eat it.and it.was like i.was sticking my head in a bucket of raw fish heads. Now its almost tolerable. My emotions don't make me angry or violent... Just sad and most times.I'm depressed, and anxious at the same time. Well that's my story so far very slow recovery.

That's really great.. fMRI is really very useful tool. Nice to see that people are recovering from conditions which was earlier considered impossible.😊 But what will be the role of neuropsychologists as they use neurocognitive testing like different neuropsychological batteries which gives us more comprehensive information about a person's functional strengths and weeknesses . Will neuropsychological tests be replaced by fMRI? If it's so then what will happen to our profession.. And I wanna be a neuropsychologist. Can neuropsychologists order fMRI or interpret it's results in future? I know this question might sound little weird but still I'm asking as concerned about future scope of neuropsychology. And generally neuroimaging techniques are used by medical doctors.. So what will be our role then? Kindly reply.. Actually I'm very much curious to know about this

It's ok if y'can afford it. Obviously if yur paying someone a lot of money of course they're gonna keep u believing yur gonna fully recover if it's too they're financial benefit. However, for the rest of us it's just a matter of perseverence and hope.
