I just remembered: some years ago I was actually listening to a college radio station, on the way to work. The people who manned that station were exactly like this example was, but not only that?- I no joke distinctly remember that they actually *did* play an hour or so of chanting. Maybe two or more because it was still on when I came back from my shift that day, only for it to switch back on towards 'normal' alternative underground rock music. This happened on more than one occasion too. But it wasn't a regular daily thing either. I have no idea who was behind the programming of that station but I salute you sir or madam. 😂👌 Thanks for broadening my horizons.

Yes. I'm glad I'm not the only one who imagined a blonde guy, although I pictured younger. Actually, if you've listened to his show he wasn't really a druggie or quite as party hard as most rock stars are made out to be. Alice Cooper tells stories about other musicians and famous people that he knew/knows and it's interesting hearing what different people were really like. I made that sound way more boring than it is. Basically Alice Cooper and his band are their characters from Spinal Tap, the movie. The movie I saw after years of his radio show.

Whenever morning radio hosts annoy me, I tend to find myself saying “Alright, Squawk Box, shut it up about the fish already!” Even though the jokes/conversations are usually not about fish.

ATTENTION EVERYONE! This email did not predict the Tide Pod Challenge! It came out fifteen years ago, long before that. The Portly Washboy thing is about how children many decades ago used to eat paste because it smelled and tasted like mint. Thank you.
