I guess I’m used to the firm / aggressive version on myself. Couple times I’ve had those “caressing” massages from the barber but my head didn’t feel “ clean” .. . The woman that cut my hair was really firm with her hands and fingers - I was 30 and she was an older lady -in her 70s and I think “old school” from her generation.. but I remember she always shampooed me very firmly..
